Is this the same guy who was selling the possessed doll? The description bears an amazing likeness to the doll auction.
It is sad some will believe this. Some people will do anything for a few dollars.

There's been quite a few of these types of auctions. People see the success of them and mimic them. They are an ebay legal scam.

the guy that had that possessed doll was guyver-x or something like that so i don't think it is the same guy--but if he selling under anothe name or something- he should be ashamed of himself.
A ghost in a jar- good heavens!
I have some old pickles in the back of my fridge that look more spooky than his jar of black stuff ----and they even smell!

Nharmon,
I wonder if you could put the pickles on eBay?
Just kidding, of course...

lol, mcjane. You could write a creative auction about your Chuckie doll and probably do really well. Let us know if you list it.

he said he does not want it,why cant he just cart this off to salvation army?? before ebay days?/

A scam? ... no.
It's a great story, he should write a novel which will be made into a movie.
Why is it a scam? Do you call those scary novels a scam? You pay your money and you get a book. Here, you get a jar.... with a ghost in it.

so his friend told him the only way to get rid of the ghost is to give it to someone??
must he give it on ebay for over 1000 dollars??
and why no USPS?? just ups??or he will deliver it to you .
since it is now over 100,what is he going to tell UPS when he fills out the insurance form??
you can bet if this is shipped thru good old post office and the jar breaks,USPS will not pay 1199 for it.
and what do you guys think of the picture, did you see a man in the forest>>

If you do a search for ghost in a jar you will find a few more auctions that others have started. Here is one of them.

Here's a spoof of the "haunted doll" auction from a couple of weeks ago. It's even funnier than the original

I don't know what all the fuss is about. There are a lot of dead people bidding on ebay. They die after they win an auction, they get resurrected to bid on the next one.

the seller did not have time to cancel all these low feedback bidders, some just sign up today.
i dont think there is anything ebay or seller can do with the high bidder deadbeat, the worse is one strike,2 more to go before he gets thrown out.

the winner has a -2 feedback so when the seller is thru negging him,he is out.
read the list of bid retractions, some just signed up today.
think of the final value fee charged to his credit card by ebay and it would take him 1/2 month to file for refund.
