Hi ! I was wondering if there was anyone that knew about this or was better at finding the value of this clock...I found one just like it at Yahoo http://www.westsea.com/tsg3/catlocker/cat05chart.htm about half way down the page but they only do price on request (I did e-mail them 5 or 6 hours ago but you know how us women are...tick tick tick )and they said serious inquiries only ...not a price guide lalalala... there are 2 at e-bay but not like this one they are brass so not close enough...I was Told this is a real world war II deck clock right off a destroyer...any help will be appreciated ....and Thanks in advance !!!

Chelsea are high quality clocks and yes this look to be a ww-2 piece. In the past I have owned a couple both in brass and steel cases. This clock could be brass under the paint. May be 20 years ago if I remember right I sold one for around $250.00. I have no idea what they sell for now. Some of the items that I sold years ago are a lot lower in price today. GOOD LUCK

My girlfriend's father is ex-Navy and he'd kill for a clock like that! Good luck with it!

When you list it, don't just throw it in a clock category. Be sure to get it in the militaria category also. It is definitely a dual category item. Anyone else have any ideas on the best categories to get top dollar on this jewell?

I put up an Elgin bomber clock under the military and clock categories. That's the best way to go.

I don't know about this clock but some old ones with white hands like that, meant to glow in the dark, are coated with radium -- and radium is radioactive so don't put it under your pillow!

Hi, I am glad you made a nice profit on your clock. The more I thought about it. I am sure the Chelsea clock I sold 20 years ago brought $250.00. Goes to show ya that prices have not gone up that much on a lot of items through the years. Keep the Faith and Good Selling.
