In my last posting I was saying how I bought 10 items from a Seller who does everything automated.

Well I was conplaining that I never received emails answering my questions and I had to figure out my shipping on all 10 items.

Well now, the items Arrived but there are two doubles of the same items and one extra that I didnt purchase.

I emailed them 4 days ago, and I still have not received a reply. I want what I bid on, I dont want doubles of the same item, and I dont want what I didnt pay for.

I would like to know how you would handle this because I dont see a solution to my problem in the near future. This seems like it will take forever for them to respond, thats if they even do respond.

Calling them is one option but I dont care to call CA and find a machine waiting at the other end.

This is what I was complaining about from the beginning. The one on one contact is not there and the service is horrable.

I would like suggestions from you more experience Buyers as to what you think I should do. I needed all these items for next Sat. and now I see this is not going to happen. So, paying with Bidpay was more for the convience of the Seller, it didn't help me with my problem.

I read this last thread and it made me change the way I send out WBN's. When I looked at my automated responces they were generic with no information on shipping charges or they were confusing on which types of payments I accept.

I have since started emailing my own WBN with everything included (i.e. payment types accepted, shipping and handling charges, insurance rates) I have had a better responce and quicker payments than I did before.

Hi Tonimar1, Your problem is not with automated emails your problem is with a bad dealer. I use automatic emails and have very little problems. Some newer customers have a hard time working up shipping cost. On the other side I have used to have problems with customers sending me emails about shipping cost without their name and address or zip code. The emails would say someting like this "Hi, how much is shipping? Signed Dizzy Lizzy". Almost all of my customers like the quick responce. Auto emails is the way to go but the dealer must answer emails and questions. I put my name and address in all my emails plus my email address for questions. I am betting the same dealer you are having problems with wouldn't answer emails if they didn't have a auto system. GOOD LUCK!!!

It sometimes works to request there user info. They get your number also and might email or call.(they might think a neg is near)
Are you sure your emails are getting delivered to them?
When I get someone like that that won't respond, I use a return receipt on the email. Once they read it (and see that you know they read it)then they usually respond.

If you got more than you paid for, I would just forget it, keep the stuff, move on, never buy from that seller again.

capotasto..........I only got one item more then i paid for and i dont want it. But the two items that I did pay for I never got, they doubled up on two other items and now I have doubles which I dont need or what.

I just want what I paid for and I dont think that is expecting too much........lol

BIGPEEPA yes i do think your right about its the seller not the auctomated email. Now I need to know how I am going to correct the problem.
I will request there contact information today and see if that helps but other then that I dont know if I should start leaving them feedback and asking for them to contact me in the feedback.........because that is automated tooooooo...........lol

You will probably have to call, if you get a machine, and no call back within a time you are comfortable with, NEG 'em.

I hope this isn't something from computer category... will be betting you are stuck with what you got...

only about 30% of the sellers in that category are worth a sh*t... the rest should die horrible deaths...

AIN'T LIFE GRAND...

Twelve, its not computer area it is Dolls,

It sounds like you had experience similar to mine but maybe worse, I'm sorry to hear that because It just makes Ebay an up pleasant place to buy from.

And as a Seller for over 5 yrs I and others all need buyers but with everything that has been happening I can see why we are loosing our Buyers.
I would still buy from Ebay but I will only buy from the small seller not one that does lots of volume in sales, I don't care if I pay more for the item. It's the service that I appreciate when its one on one, and usually this type of seller you don't need to contact about a problem cause they don't create the situation for this to happen.

The Feedback that I will leave will reflect the service, shipping was good, packaging was good........correspondence was awful........mistake on merchandise never corrected..........i am holding doubles of dolls that I don't want.......so,........does this seller get a neg........or what????????.I will be leaving 10 feedback's and I can say it all even though only one neg. goes against there name it doesn't matter to me, but maybe i should leave a neg. on the feedback for the dolls that I didn't get and positives on all the others..........What do you think?????????........knowing I will in return get the same from them which I can live with because I am telling the truth and I cant worry if a buyer does not see through the neg. when they check my feedback rating.

"maybe i should leave a neg. on the feedback for the dolls that I didn't get and positives on all the others.........."

Sure. How can you give a neg for the ones you did receive. But you might give a neutral if you received a double.

Toni - if you paid via PayPal you might want to try disputing the charge. Unfortunately it seems that this may be the only way to get their attention. That or file for dispute resolution with square trade. Both are kind of xtreme avenues to take to get someones attention but from what you say, they may be the only way to actually fix the problem.

The problem is the automation. It gives powersellers the feeling that they do not have to respond to any of their customers concerns. I for one always neg a seller that does not e-mail me direct with the WBN notification unless they respond to my where should I send payment e-mail two days later.

Neg this SOB stating "sent wrong items and does not respond to e-mails.

tonimar1, if I was in your position, these are the steps I would take.

1. Get the contact info.

2. Call the number.

3. Send an email.

4. If you get an asnwering machine, and you leave a message, and there is no answer within 48 hours to the emails or the phone message, then file a Unable to Contact Complaint with eBay.

5. There is another place to file for Unresponsive Seller. Maybe somebody else on this Board has the link.

6. Have a separate id for bidding. Never use the selling id for bidding, so if you get into situations like this you don't have to worry about getting negative feedback. Sellers don't care about negs with buyers that are retaliatory; sellers only care about NPB negs.

7. In the future, always try to pay with Paypal, so you can get additional buyer's protection, via the Paypal Complaint Process or a credit card chargeback.

8. I don't think you can get a chargeback when you use Bidpay.

Anyway one through five should get you a response from the seller.

I am not hotcupoftea on eBay.

Find one of their active auctions and go through Ask the Seller a Question. See if they answer that way. I have used the automatic ones and they never work for me, if their auction says they accept PayPal I go and put their email address in and pay that way. I hate dealing with the automated ones. I try not to buy anything anymore because of them.

Libra63, I am the same way. I won't purchase from high-volume sellers. I won't purchase from sellers who state that it is mandatory to go through their third-party checkout system. I have had quite a few purchases in which I took a loss because of the lack of communication from a seller. Rather than pursue more aggressive methods to resolve the problem, I finally just gave up. The purchases were similar to what tonimar1 described, the packaged arrived but what you purchased was not in it.

eBay is a buyer's market. I can select the sellers with whom I wish to do business. And now, with the improved My eBay, when I get a professional seller selling the kind of unique antiques I like to buy, and the transaction was quick and painless, then I put that seller's id right into my Seller's Watch Tab and click into the seller's auctions 2-3 times a week. Eventually I will stop doing searches and just buy from the same sellers.

I am not hotcupoftea on eBay.
