I am not a coin colector but I recently acquired a 1971 Kennedy half Dollar that has an unusual feature. Below the neckline, next to the date is a very obvious bulge-There is no indication of damage on the reverse side of the coin- Any info will be appreciated-

it is hard to say anything without looking at the coin, and hard even still to tell if it is something that happened during production of the coin. If the error occured during the minting of the coin, you could have something (though it won't lead to retirement or anything like that, error coins tend not to be too valuable, certainly more than 50 cents) and a post minting is not worth anything at all...
