I've been buying on ebay for 3+ years and have never gotten ripped off before now. But there is this guy who sells new, just released books and I believe he is running a scam. He has racked up 10 negatives this week. I paid by Paypal so I had hopes of getting my money back, but I just noticed on his current auctions that he is no longer taking Paypal. So I'm sure he has no money in his account. Ebay is investigating, meanwhile this scam artist has over 50 auctions still running.

A scamming BOOKSELLER?????
Gawd, that's MY category....don't tell me we got crooks in MY category!!! Booksellers are supposed to be genteel...or at least better at hiding their scoundrel-ity (made that up) than the empty-computer-box people.
Is he selling and not delivering? Or, is he passing off book club editions as true first editions? Is he lying about condition? What is the nature of his scam?
Hope you report his sorry butt to eBay and press PayPal to refund you. Hard enough to get buyers on eBay, especially for books where I think booksellers outnumber book buyers by 4 to 1. Don't need this guy scaring people away.

He is selling and not delivering. These are brand new, just released books. He is selling multiple copies of each title. I am very cautious about who I buy from. When I bid on the book he had 2 negatives out of 200+, nothing to be alarmed about. Last time I looked he had 10 negatives this week. He is also leaving negatives to the people who have negged him, calling them crooks, etc. I have reported him to Ebay & Paypal.

It sounds a bit like a drop shipper when the seller has to wait for the shipper to send out the items. If the publication release date is delayed then the seller is in trouble.
