Hi everyone! I finally got a bid on one of my items. I checked the person's feedback which isnt too bad: 200 pos, 3 neutrals and 2 neg but there have been 3 bid retractions this week alone with a total of over 20 ! Been a member since November 2002

Should I be worried? How many bid retractions can a person have before getting kicked off ebay?

Paloma, I am right there with you! I had 2 bid retractions this past weekend. The first was a $3 item that got a bid, the buyer bid on a similiar item & cancelled the bid on my item (for "the wrong bid amount" in 4 minutes! The bidder has a total of 22 FB & 29 bid retractions in 6 months. So far he is still a bidder. The other bidder had 200 FB & 20 bid retractions in 6 months. Hi s bid stood for 5 days. When I looked up eBay's criteria for retracting a bid for wrong bid amount it said that a corrected bid should be placed immediately. I notified eBay but it appears nothing was done. I would rather not have bidders/buyers like this, but, I really would like to see eBay clean house a bit. Sales are slow enough without bidders tying up merchandise for days only to change their minds later.

Just checked to see if eBay has done anything about either of these 2 abusers. They haven't. The one with 29 retractions has added another 2 in as many days. How lovely. : )

Geesh, and I feel bad that I have one bid retraction. I accidentally bid (had two screens open at once - will never do that again) on the wrong item. The one I bid on was a $9.99 plate with $42 for shipping!

Rather than worry if he will cancel the bid...

Rather than worry if he will not pay if he wins...

Cancel his bid and block him.

Well, I just got an email back from eBay stating that appropriate action has been taken on my reports. Apparently the # of bid retractions is above 31 in 6 months before being NARU'd. They both still have active accounts.
Cheryl- I guess you can retract to your hearts content! LOL

I would never be able to stand the guilt! However, a $42 shipping charge quickly dissolves any guilt.
