Why does the porridge bird lay its egg in the air?

The porridge bird lays its egg in the air so that it won't break.

And in some perverse turn of logic, I think this perfectly describes the intelligence of about 90% of eBay sellers.

I am dealing with one buyer now who won an auction in May. I am on the west coast and she had also won an auction from someone across the country and wanted to know if the packages could be mailed together to save her costs on postage.

One week later she e-mailed me her address so I had her package ready to go when payment arrived which was 15 days after the auction ended. But then she gave me a different address and requested it be shipped there instead so I did the label again.

Yesterday the package was returned. She neglected to tell me that it was supposed to be addressed to a different name than she had given me and she had also forgotten to give me part of the address.

Did I ever say that I have lots of patience?

Kiara...You can get anything on Ebay, even sainthood, if you have enough patience. Hmmm.... St. Kiara. Has a nice ring to it.

Someone posted a funny line yesterday. Referring to her loveable ( but airheaded ) son, she said "if he fell out of a window, he would go up". Gotta love it!

I believe this will be my last ebay package until fall. This one is easy compared to last year when I ended my auctions and switched the labels on two packages by mistake when I was in a hurry to get to work one morning.

I think Kiara deserves to be St. Kiara--she has been SO helpful to so many of us!
