My Coolpix 950 after a sterling term of service has died. I need a new camera and one that will accomodate my close up jewelry photos.
I have narrowed the choices to another Nikon the 4300 or a Mavica CD 350.
Does anyone own the CD350 or 4300? If so do you like it. As a long time Nikon fan it's hard to switch but the CD350 looks interesting and they are close in price.
The only negative I could find in the reviews on line of the 350 was a complaint about the wait between photos. The 4300 had a comment about the slow focus time in Macro mode. Also the Mavica looks bulky and I take a lot of photos at one sitting (standing) is it heavy to use for extended periods?
So I am hoping for some feedback from owners/users to help make the choice.

so i bot a nikon coolpix 995 which zooms.
nikon 995 is nice but it is a pain to operate.
if you are a nikon fan,why dont you stay with nikon.

I have a cd 400 & I LOVE IT!!! I also have an fd-95 for really close detail shots since it has a 20x zoom & the 400 is only 6x.
I too am standing a lot taking photos & it never feels heavy. I was amazed at this fact, especially after using the fd 95 for a year.

I use a Sony CD 300 and LOVE it. Takes great photos and you just pop the little CD into the CD drive and up come the photos. Couldn't be easier.
