How does one launch a dutch auction ? I have been having problems launching a dutch auction from inventory. I set the quantity to 7 and the starting price and reserve price the same. And then at launch I select by quantity to launch to 1. Is that my problem. Is quantity to launch the amounts of auctions to launch or amount of items from inventory to put into the auction ?

If you dont understand what I am saying can you please provide a walk through.

Thanks for your time

If you set the quantity to 1 it is no longer a dutch auction. The quantity should be the number of items you are selling, the auction elves will know to sell in sets of1 - you only confuse them if you try to tell them how to do their job

I haven't done a dutch for some time, but if I remember correctly, you can't have a reserve on a dutch auction.

You are right Sanmar - the reserve area should remain blank

And remember, the lowest price is the winner if you have enough items not accounted for bidwise. If you have ten identicle items and one bidder bids $10 for 9 of the items and another bidder bids $1 for 1 of the items and the auction closes that way then all 10 items sell for $1 each.
