I purchased this pitcher and I would like to know if it is vaseline glass. It is very heavy with great detail but no markings. I have included a picture without and with a black light.

Thanks

Gosh, Libra, that's quite a piece!
How big is it?
Wish I knew anything about Vaseline glass but I don't. Totally clueless...
I'll be watching this post so maybe I can learn something.

Sorry I forgot the particulars. It is 7 inches high, it weighs 2 1/2 pounds. It will be a pistol to mail....

Good grief - that thing is HUGE!
You're gonna need a pretty sizey box. How are you going to ship? I'm guessing around 4 pounds packed weight.
FedEx would only be around $7.00 plus your handling charge, if you have one.
Dopey old priority mail would nail your buyer ten-twelve bucks not counting insurance.

Figured out some postage. to Mississippi it is $8.05 priority or $6.93 Parcel Post. Same to maryland and I suppose same to west coast. I charge no handling fee and it will fit into the large priority box. Doesn't sound to bad for a serious collector.

Vaseline glass contains uranium & always glows green under black light.
I've only known vaseline glass to be clear or milky, but it certainly does look like your pitcher glows green. Because it's not clear glass I'm not sure, but someone with more knowledge will certainly be along to let you know for sure.
It's a very nice piece.

this is not vaseline glass. i have seen Fenton with this green frosted glass.
vaseline glass is always clear as far as I know. very distinctive looking.

morning
I have found a few sites that show Opaque Vaseline Glass and have discovered that vaseline glass comes in many colors.

It sure looks like 1980's Fenton Satin glass to me, but I've been wrong once or twice before.
What throws me is it looks thicker than a typical Fenton pitcher. And it should have the Fenton logo in an oval on the base.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I do know it is called Camphor or Satin glass and Fenton did make all sorts of glass things in Satin or Camphor glass but since the stuff did not interest me, I do not know if it was marked on the bottom
