RIGHT?

Some musings on a SAT morning (they just changed me meds)!

The fun on these boards is the wonderful give-&-take amongst all of us...

I agree with many here & disagree with many here...but, I generally ALWAYS learn here! AND, that's what counts, right?

PLUS, we ALL have a good time here -- even SCRUFFY

But, I've seen posts here where some folks are worried about the possibility of some pretzel-chokers messing around with their auctions just because of the fun we have here, &, comsequently feel that they have to remain ANON while posting here!

Any thoughts from yowse guys & gals & felines out there in Venial-Land??

Say it ain't so, Joe!

Ralphie comes home today from CAMP & I'm planning a special candlelight dinner -- just he & me! Ain't THAT special??!!

Yeah...

Every 4th, we go to Sand Key by Clearwater Beach, FL, for a week!

GREAT beach, fun hotel for the munchkins!

Unfortunately, since Ralphie is of the BT persuasion, we have to leave him with Doctor Dave, his vet, who is a great fan of BTs & spoils the heck out of him!

Hope he wants to come home...

Most posters and lurkers can participate or watch a discussion and take it for what it's worth and then move on. But there are always a few that want to take it a step further and it can be very dangerous if it messes with a person's livelihood.

When disagreements on a message board escalate to the point where auctions and feedback are messed with, things have gone too far. No matter how much I may disagree with someone's views here, I would never think of taking it off the board to their auctions or e-mail.

So far I have seen no harm where users post certain anonymous auctions here because they are amusing or noteworthy because of what is being sold. Usually the auctions that are obviously breaking the rules or are offensive are soon shut down by ebay anyways.

But to choose another poster's auctions and bring them to the board only to critique their sell-through rate or their feedback when that poster does not want their ID splattered here, then I think that is very wrong. It is one thing if we choose to show our own auction ID to all but it's not fair for others to take it upon themselves to do it for us.

Remember, we are all trying to learn and make money. That's what's most important.

I agree too. even when we disagree, we learn.

do any of you remember the poster who got upset over our lack of sympathy and proceeded to sign a few of us up for spam emails from pornographic sites? took 3 months before most stopped coming to me.

i still watch that specific seller because I just don't trust her.

I remember being bombed with smut sites a few mos ago -- but did we ever figure out who was responsible??

Pretty depressing...

The porn sites all trade emails addresses they get. Nowadays the emails come from 5 million address list that the sell for a few bucks and other places. If a person has an email address that goes something like Sue549 or JohnJones999 then you're gonna get a ton of spam and porn spam because the address generators use common first names in any combination.

Disagreements are part of life...

ANYONE that would mess with someone's auctions, their livelihood...is beyond contempt...

That is never an option, if you feel the need to get "even" in that manner... go seek some help you desprately need.

Don't like to disagree with someone... talk to the mirror... guarenteed you get agreement everytime... well hopefully

Since I don't search to much on eBay it is always nice to know that someone here will bring that outstanding auction to our attention. I sometimes find something worth while but nothing like that $26,000.00 radio,
that really blows my mind. If I could only find one of them I could quit this forever, well not forever I would still miss everyone in here. Maybe that beer can but then I wouldn't mind a fishing lure now and then and the plate. Who could forget about the plate. Thanks to all

I guess I'm really going to have to grill the old man on why he continues to get Farm Sex email. Just kidding folks. He really does get those emails, though. He cannot figure out where they started from.

The greatest advice ever given, whether you agree with it or not, comes from the folks here at Vendio. I've participated in other boards, but none were ever as fun or enlightening. And none seemed to have the "we are family" kind of camaraderie.
