Have you ever seen a auction end a sale when bidding is still going on? No sale on Ebay should end at a given time it should only end say when there has been no bids for 5 minutes. I don't want to hear about proxie bids and sniper programs most ebay customers don't understand either.

DUH!

If you don't like it... don't use it...

Actually most real auctions do have time limits... just it is hours of operation...

...and a good auctioneer can get things going fast and not waste time...

...and at a real auction you can actually see the item, most cases touch it....

...at a real auction I go home with the item that day or as soon as I can pick it up...

No eBay is not a real auction.

Yahoo, I think, has auctions more to your liking... try there...

Auctions are over when the auctioneer drops the hammer. Yes I have been to many auctions where the bidding was still active when the auctioneer dropped the hammer. On Ebay the hammer drops 3,5,7,10 days after the auction starts. If you don't have enough time to bid in 3 to 10 days then you ain't exactly swift
