Things get SO SLOW this time of year, it hardly seems the effort - I'll be so glad when fall gets here - I'm BOOOOOOOOOORED!

How about you?

I have to MAKE myself update web sites, auctions, etc., probably ought to clean up my desk too..........I seem to do better when there is too much to do - when things slow down, I just get bored out!

Unfortunatley for me boring is no good... it just means I have to work harder to earn less. We make our sole income for our family of 5 off ebay, and months like this are so frustrating. I keep telling myself... just make it through the summer... but it seems I could list all day and hardly sell anything.

you are never board oops bored when posting or reading in Vendio. Where else can you go and get compliments one minute and tortured the next. This is the only place I know of. Just ask Fluffy, Shop etc. Nobody knows what evil lurks in the posters at Vendio. This is the reason I hang around just to see the fur fly. Sorry Fluffy. no pun intended.

Just make it through summer.
Just make it through summer.

Yep, that's been my mantra too.

Not just ebay, either. I SO wish there was year-round school sometimes! I am ready to climb the walls listening to my two boys fight!

Instead of being bored and having no money, do like I am doing. All the stuff I have tried to sell on ebay that didnt sell or is too heavy to ship, I am unloading at my garage sales. Maybe hitting a flea market would be faster but not as much fun. There are people around that I never see except when i have garage sales. Sometimes, it's almost like a little reunion! GAWD my life is limited. I just realized that! Oh well.

I am also spending more time with my kids, repairing the house and picking up an odd job now and then working on computers.

I have no choice but to enjoy what I have. Do what I can with what I have and plan for the future.

My sales too are pretty slow. But I am busy picturing and scanning items, writing up descriptions to keep on file for the "big rush-to-buy" in the fall, I hope! By the way, when does fall on eBay begin?

People at our local Flea Market are so bored that they are going to close the Flea Market in August this year. It used to be open until November, and each year business declines more and more. I guess I'll have to shop more yard sales. We have the 127 Yardsale (goes from Alabama to Ohio) coming up Aug.2-10. I'm looking forward to that. I will be setting up and buying.

I would love to have garage sales. Last year we lived right on main st and had a garage sale almost every week-end. Over the summer I earned $6,000+ selling junk that wouldn't sell on ebay. But then the village management (I live in a village, not a city) came and shut us down. They said we were allowed only 3 sales a year. They closed me down that day, even though my ads were still in the paper. I had a lot of repeat customers and they were very upset, but how can you fight the village people?

We moved to a new house, but it's a couple blocks away and in a more residential area. I have been fearful of having a garage sale because I don't want to upset the new neighbors or get in trouble with the city. And my garage is filled with boxes full from the move, I would have to keep it closed and have a yard sale.

Our community garage sale is the first week-end of august... so hopefully i can remember where all my junk is stashed and have a gigantic sale then.

Finally, after how many years of living, I've concluded that July is the rottenest month of the year. It's the hottest, the bugs are the worst, the garden doesn't want to grow in the heat--and eBay selling is down, too. I cannot wait, even, for August, which is a better month in my estimation.

Oh, geeeez! I thought I was the ONLY person who hated JULY! Down here in the land of Phoney-CIA-Sabatoged-Idiotic-Ballots, the heat has me & Ralphie pressing our cheeks on the kitchen floor and...PANTING!

Ah Florida...Palmetto bugs large enough for the kids to ride, fire ants, ugly palm trees and heat hot enough to roast the rattlesnakes...don't miss a bit of it,well maybe the beach and fishing but they can keep all that traffic in Orlando. Forty years in Florida was enough for me.
