I just checked my account this morning and found a payment I had had no notification for, and a pending check that had cleared yesterday, that I have still have no notification for.

Nope, no surprise payments for me. Rats! I've been waiting 10+ days for a payment. Can't get the darn bidder to at least let me know when he mailed it. Just emailed him to let him know he has 3 more days. My TOS says 10, but I'm giving him extra. I know, I know. So generous. LOL!

Hello
As sad as it is, Pay Pal does not warrant a e-mail to the seller when a buyer pays.
As a seller you must check from "account" to "account" (that is when you hit Pay Pal for your funds to be sent to your account.
I have had several bad cases where buyer paid, said nothing to me via e-mail and waited and waited, until I either caught it or e-mailed buyer for non-payment (Most embarrassing)
Moral
Check your Pay Pal account and do not withdraw funds until you can account for all deposits.

I always go into check paypal. With the business the size they have there are bound to be some notifications not sent. It's no big deal to me but I am not a big time seller so payments would never get lost like some of you have. If I had a large account I would be a little worried someone's payment might get lost in the shuffle
I agree, I don't have time to wait for payment notifications, I check PayPal 2 or 3 times a day as I check from web site to web site to pick up orders, etc.
Knowing when a customer pays, keeps customers happy. Being able to complete a day makes me happy too....
I just consider checking for payments as part of business.
