We're having a good run of sales this summer, despite the hot weather...and suprisingly, the Friday sales have resulted in some great deals!

This weekend alone, we got:

XBox NBA 2003 game - $5
Wireless Gamecube Controller - $1
Harry Potter gloves in tin book - $1
Leapfrog electronic book - $2
Old 1970's coloring books, never used - FREE
4 Sealed Maxell Reel to Reel Tapes - $2

Those were mostly my eBay re-sales but my wife got a lot other great deals for the house including a digital recorder, MIB for $12 (retail $99).

Mostly from an estate sale:

Cranberry Glass (Bohemian) perfume bottle: $5

Green faceted glass drop lavalier: $5

Numerous antique cabinet card photos: $10 for all (came out to about $.50 each)

Unusual Edgar Allan Poe book published in 1908 and dealing with household issues. That's a new one on me. Will be posting for help on this one later. $3

I am sure glad I am not the only one who does this with garage, estate sales.

I just got an am transistor radio in the a back of a cute doll. It looks 50/60ties. Probably will need to post a pix if maybe somebody knows something about it. All it says is made in japan. (What was that post about vintage radios couple of weeks ago? Maybe that person what this is.)

Well, I spent over an hour going to the unusually high number of Garage Sales in my area. I dragged the twins along (a boy and a girl who are 3 and very well behaved for daddy). I spent all of $0. NOTHING of resale value. I saw a house I would love to get, but they have already listed it with an agent (needs about $200k of work, but worth $850k once done).

Not a garage sale but I went to a paper and postcard show yesterday..in an UN-AIR CONDITIONED building! Temp ouside was around 90 and humidity even higher - inside it was more like 100+

Hubby and I suffered through several hours of looking and left with armloads of postcards and MUCH lighter wallets! We got many nice cards and I am so excited to list them!!

My day was made when I mentioned to someone from Nebraska that I sold on eBay (I am from Minneapolis/St. Paul) and he asked if I was "MoodyMommy"! People DO notice! I am ALMOST certain it wasn't because I was acting "moody" on account of the heat, but on the other hand.... maybe I was!
