How wierd is this latest missive from the totally worthless seeSCREWit:

"1) Changes to c2it Terms of Use
Use of Visa Cards with c2it
Effective August 17, 2003, c2it will no longer be processing
transactions made with Visa credit or debit cards. For your
convenience, c2it will automatically remove your linked Visa credit
and debit cards as payment options for c2it transactions beginning
August 17, 2003. Additionally, you will not be able to add new Visa
credit or debit cards to your c2it Profile after this effective date.
As always, however, all credit and debit card information, including
Visa credit and debit cards, that we have on file for you will remain
private and secure.

Please be sure to read the revised Terms & Conditions for complete
details of this change and how it impacts your c2it membership. You
can review the Terms and Conditions that will be effective August 17,
2003 by logging onto the website at http://www.c2it.com and clicking
the link to the new Terms and Conditions from the home page. By
logging on and using the service after the effective date, you are
agreeing to these new Terms & Conditions."

Say what??

You know, you'd think a company backed by a respected financial institution would have been more popular than what they were able to do. Maybe it was the super slow site.. I don't know.

Oh well... got one payment from them a couple years ago.

So they are not processing debit and credit cards? Is it just debit cards with visa OD protection that they are not processing? Or both? What does this mean? What else can they do, then?

Why even bother to keep the site up and tell people they will keep their info?
How dumb.....

On a positive note, this should effectively take care of any cash advance charges VISA card holders experienced using c2it.

I would have been using them but I was never able to sign up- the signup pagesa were so screwy, and the security wouldn't allow you to try twice. If you effed up once you were done for the day. There wqasa no internet contact for help- unless you were sighned up already. The phone number got you willing and eager youngsters who would try to subvert the security system for you and then have to give up the attempt. If I, who am relativly internet literate can't sign up- how will my clients find their way through the maze? So I never bothered.
And I've never ever hada anyone ask to pay me through it either.
