I'm Back again ...and of course I've went and dug up something I know nothing about.Where My Mother Got this is unknown.
1.I think it's Porcelain...tell me if I'm wrong
2.It has a sticker on the back of her neck with a ladies name and address in KY dated 1984 so would this be a artist offering?
3.Anything I need to say or point out that will catch a doll collectors eye?

the head and upper torso reminds me of the old german doll head.if it is made in 1984,then it is a repro.

Hey stopwhining Thanks for your help ...I really don't know when it was made it just has this paper taped on the back of the head
...so I'm guessing this person put the doll together then or maybe she just like to put her name on them in case she got robbed or something.

In the mid 80's, dolls and dollhouses as a hobby actually surpassed coins and stamps. You will find a lot of very good repros from that time on She has a great face.
Her dress looks like it's made from a polyester velour? And the lace is totally modern.

Maybe the name on the back is from a doll hospital and your mother had her fixed and then had clothes to match the time period. Did you mother live around there? Is the dress sewn on a machine or by hand? She looks old, at least her body does.

Hi Libra63 ! If I know my mom she prolly bought it naked as a jay bird and found some clothes to fit it. lol she was like that...always had to save the poor toy from doom. The dress looks home sewn but well made.I guess I'll just chalk this up as the mystery doll.I've already listed her...she'll either sell or not .If not i'll put her back in the attic for my daughter to dig back out in 30 years.Maybe she'll be worth something then Thanks for the help !
