Butter dish is Early American Prescut. A pattern by Anchor Hocking, 1960 to 1968. Although there are some pieces of that pattern that are expensive, the butter dish isn't one of them.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Max,
Can I ask something else of you?

Which pieces are 'wanted' because I think I've seen this pattern around alot. Never gave it too much of a 2nd glance though.

Only bought the butter dish because I wanted a glass one myself so I figured if it not worth anything no loss.

Nevermind, looking on ebay!!

Thanks Jensmom, I will keep a look out for those. (I'm sure I've seen this before in various pieces because I remember thinking it was the star of david.)

the punch bowl sets and snack sets do pretty well in this pattern. i have sold a few of them and you can pick the snack sets up for $1 if you keep your eyes open at garage sales. everybody owned at least one luncheon snack set and now they just want to get rid of them. you won't get rich, but turning a $1 into $10-$20 is okay with me anyday.

raff,
I agree. If we could do volume's of turning $1.00 into 10.00 we'd be alright.

There must be something with the word "wash". Many people from the state of Washington say "wersh" for "wash" and they say "Wershington" instead of "Washington".
