This is a large, very heavy, brass colored tray. Do you have any ideas as to what kind of figures these are? At first I thought Egyptian, but I am not sure. The tray has 4 little knob feet on the bottom.

They could also be Phoenixs which are depicted far differently in the eastern than the western world.

I'm just full of art today! LOL- I posted a reply on RALPHIEs dad's query- hit post- and realised that it has nothing to do with the plates at all... just art history sort of. Javanese style is unmistakeable after you've seen it even once- those long noses and no chins. The people don't actually look like that at all!
