Had a buyer with 5 feedbacks (granted that could just be a buying ID - 2 feedbacks were for selling, though). Anyway, they emailed me through ask seller a question regarding whether I sell dvds at wholesale prices. The dvds that I sell on ebay are generally in the $12.00-$25.00 range. He wanted 2 certain ones that I start at $15.00. Told him I would sell both for $12.50 each. Emails me back - no, I want to buy in quantity. So, I send him a link to my website where I have them listed in bulk for $9.00 each. This is the email I get back:

"NO I am sorry! I don't want to waste my time with such high wholesale prices. I am in talks for such dvds at about the $2-$3 range. Good Luck!"

I'm thinking - you must be joking, so I email him this back:

"Sorry - I didn't realize you were looking for that kind of prices. Perhaps you're looking for more "B" rated movies?"

Then I sent him a link for 2 suppliers that sell those crappy dvds for $2.00 each. I hope he buys 1000 of them and gets stuck with them (like I did when I first started out)
What a waste of my time.

He can talk all he wants. GETTING them at that price may take actual cash however.

From what I've seen of the $2-$3 wholesale movies... Let's just say they're overpriced.

I can understand this frustration. I go through this all of the time! Just of late I have had people write to me and ask for free overseas shipping, items to be marked as gift and a huge discount off of each item.

When I get these emails I try to look up their ebay ID and then block them from ever bidding on my auctions.

Speaking of looking of ebay IDs through their emails addresses. You can still do that now through the SEARCH > FIND MEMBERS function if you type in the 4 digit number that ebay displays to verify the computer IP number. When you do go through all of that ebay now displays 4 asterisks instead of ebay IDs on each of the feedback givers to the ebay ID you looked up. Maybe ebay is making it harder for scammers to get recent data on looked up ebay IDs although the transaction number is still shown?
