I would appreciate some honest comparisons of eBay’s “Turbo Lister” to such programs as “Andale Listing Program,” to “Vendio.”

I checked out the Andale program, and personally I think the cost is WAY to high. I DON’T need a program to create ads for me, I do all my ads in “FrontPage,” so ALL I am interested in is a automatic listing/relisting program.

I don’t need a business based program, I do all our inventory/business etc., via Auction Tamer, which I am more than pleased with.

I JUST WANT A RELIABLE LISTING/RELISTING PROGRAM, that will also hold my entire inventory in MY computer.

I have ALWAYS used computer based, listing programs such as Auction Tamer, and Sold, for listing, BUT, I am forever having problems with both programs in the listing area, and am considering changing over to “Turbo Lister,” but I am sure there are some problems with it also, I’d appreciate anyone’s experience with eBay’s new “Turbo Lister.”

Thanks!

I Like it ...It's Very easy to use .If you sell the same stuff over and over it is even better.

Thanks, Toasted36 - we do redundant (same thing item) sales, we changed from the specialty antiques/collectibles a few years ago, they simply took too much time.

Thanks for your input and response. We will check into "Turbo Lister" Further.

Okay, I'm confused.

If you relist the same thing over and over, why not simply relist from the SYI 2.0 form?

Why is using a fee-paying tool for this so much better?

Fluffy, probably the use of the templates? And it saves all your info in one place so maybe matching off billing is easier?

To me, Ebay needs to upgrade those templates. I dont like 'em. (But who cares what I like? lol)

I'm not sure I understand.

I haven't ever used an auction service's (or eBay's) templates, but wouldn't you only need to do that once when you compose the auction? Wouldn't it already be in place for subsequent relists?

And what do you mean by "saves your info all in one place"?

Fluffy, yes, it would already be in place. But you can change them easily for seasonal, or specific targeting.
From what I remember when I tried it, you can still get all the same info from your MY ebay selling tab, but this has everything in a sort of spreadsheet layout without clicking into links. The item, item number, descript, date sold, buyers email, how paid, when shipped, etc., etc.

Okay. So, do you believe that a fancy template will draw more bids or sell more items than plain text?

"This" meaning Turbo Lister. You could well be right about that. I've never tried it. I wouldn't have any use for those functions.

Thanks for the clarification.

Fluffy,
Yeah, I do think the more professionally 'done up' an auction is it generates more confidence in the buyer. I could be wrong, but the whole presentation [I]says[I] something about the seller, and me thinks it reflects the product being sold as well.

Hmm. Well, I don't know.

I've never gotten an email saying "I wanted to bid on your auction but didn't because it wasn't pretty enough".

I didn't want "Turbo Lister," for templates, I create my own, I just want a bulk lister, that worked well with eBay.

I list by hand now, as I have forever had problems with the listing programs I have used.

I tried Auction Wizard earlier this week, and after just a brief walk through it, decided it wasn't for me, and uninstalled it.

I often make updates and changes on templates, even though I do repetitive auctions, so I like to have my auction information consolidated with the related information in one program.

I've looked at Andale, but it just seems to pricey to me, and I am constantly hearing the complaints here about Vendio, so that leaves "Turbo Lister."

Guess if no one has an opinion, I'll just down load it and see what I think myself....sure would have like to get some input here and feedback.

How many auctions/week do you launch??

TURBO LISTER is pretty good for the price -- FREE!

What I didn't like, is that it really kinda forces you to use feeBay's crappy picture service. YES, you can use outside, but tis KLUNKY to do so

If I were launching >100/week, I'd use VD...

Under that, I'd use SD, just for the cost!

PTL - I gave up and downloaded "Turbo Lister" a little while ago, and it loaded, and worked like a breeze - simple to use, I host all my own photo's, I have no need of any of their templates, but the program is simple, easy, and hopefully reliable.

All my templates have the pictures imbedded, so there was no problem in "clunky" input for me - so, if it is reliable, I'll be one happy camper.

ALL I wanted was a reliable, fast upload of bulk auctions to eBay.

Thanks to everyone -

I presume when you say VD, You mean Vendio, I have no idea what SD is.

I know many want/need the extra's Vendio and other services offer, and that is great, but I only needed a good bulk lister.

Now, after a few days of use, I am still THRILLED with eBay's Turbo Lister - easy, simple - FAST - FREE!

Naturally, it doesn't offer the bells and whistles which other programs do, but that wasn't what I needed - I am really quite impressed.

I definitely see the need of programs like Vendio, and others, as I use AT myself for keeping all business records, inventory, e-mails, paids, etc., BUT, simply for listing, I am extremely pleased with "Turbo Lister."

Personally, for creating auctions, I don't think anything can beat "FrontPage" the FULL program, not the free-bee which comes in some computers. We do all our web sites via "FrontPage."
