I saw a mint electric Hall coffee pot with cream and sugar. All looked untouched except the sugar was missing the lid. They are a solid pink. I can't find the name of the pattern so I can't check it out on replacements. It has to be one of the first electric pots because it weights about 7lbs. The cream and sugar have chrome and black so they look early fifties maybe late 40's. Does anyone know the name of the pattern and what they are worth.

Paws...go to
http://www.inter-services.com/HallChina/ . You should uncover some info in there. Be sure to scour the orphan links. You may be able to turn up a lid for the sugar.

Would you think the set would be worth $37.50? I would think I could sell it for more but I don't know. It may not even still be there in the morning. It is the last day for the estate sale and everything is 50% off. I can't find anything about an electric pot by Hall and I have searched for 3 hours. That tells me they are rare or worthless.

Everytime I buy something to sell on Ebay, I consider it a gamble. I think most of us do. I feel more comfortable gambling with Hall than I do many other names. In fact, I've done quite well with Eva Zeisel and a few of the teapots. It could well be that the reason you don't seem to be able to find info on it is because it's rare. I spent $5.00 on a California lottery ticket today. I would probably be more likely to make a profit if I had instead spent $37.50 on the set you are looking at. I think you have a gut feeling about that set. Be sure to post some pictures of it when you bring it home tomorrow

( BTW...Offer them $20.00 if its the last day of the sale)

Is this the coffee pot? Older price guide lists it at $40-$50. Can't help with the cr & su without seeing the shape.

Max==

That's the one. It still have the aluminum insides and looks almost brand new. The cream and sugar look untouched as I said and they are selling them as a set. The cr & s are almost round as I remember with silver chrome(?) and black paint over some of the pink. It may not be chrome though it might be plastic.

Thanks Max for posting the picture!!!!!!!!!

They are selling the cr & su with the pot as a set not just the cr & su alone as a set.

Don't forget the 50's turquoise! I had an aunt who was stuck in the 50's. Everything, and I do mean everything, she owned was turquoise and pink. Her clothes, her house, her pool, her furniture, her kitchenware. Literally everything she could get in those colors, were those colors. Used to drive me mad. That was back in the 1970's. Now I wish I had 1/3 of that stuff!

Amen Cheryl! ... wish i could afford to completely redo my kitchen ... turquoise appliances, and 12-in. square black and white checkerboard asphalt flooring tiles, and of course the chrome tube, formica, and padded vinyl chairs!

The estate sale that had this was full of the 50's. The fridge is turquoise, which I had never seen before. She had things that had never been out of the box from the 50's. My mom had her bathroom done in pink and black when I was little. I have fond memories of those colors.

Gotta go. It's 7.30 and the last day of this estate sale starts at 8 and everything is 50%. I will go back the last hour and see what is left and make them an offer. Happy garage/estate sale day!

Thanks guys for all the information.

The politically correct term for a female pig is sow so they would be chauvinist sows!
