I always leave feedback. But I can't say I am always speedy about doing it. I bought something recently that I feel was represented as old. I received it and think it is a remake, but I like it anyway and will keep it. I was just going to leave no feedback because I can't be positive about age, and like I said, I want to keep it. A few days after I received it I get this message,

Dear xxxxxxxxxx,
Our tracking system shows that the package containing the xxxxxxxxxxxxx for auction # xxxxxxxxxxxx on Ebay has
arrived at your location. We thank you very much for your participation.

If the xxxxxxxxxx is as we presented, could you please leave a positive feedback on Ebay and/or a e-mail
statement that everything you received was as presented in our auction #xxxxxxxxxxxx.

If you are a new Ebayer and do not understand how to leave feedback, here are some simple instructions we had to figure out for
ourselves, with our first auction.

1. On Ebay, go to our auction # xxxxxxxxxxxxx just like you are going to bid.

2.Using your mouse, go down the screen for a short distance, till you see two 1" square blocks on the left hand side of the
screen.

3.The second block says "LEAVE FEEDBACK". Underneath this block you will see "for seller". Click on this.

4.You are now connected to Ebay were you need to sign in with your I.D.

5. As soon as you are connected, you fill in a positive, neutral, or negative point, followed by an explanation of how you felt the
auction went.

As soon as we see a feedback posted on Ebay or recieve a e-mail feedback,(positive we hope) on our
emailaddress, xxxxxxxxxx, we will know that auction # was O.K. At that point we will leave a positive feedback
and comment on your site.

We "value" your comments and hope to see you at more of our auctions in the future.

Thanks again,

Howard & Carol

I just ignored the message. Two days later I received the message again. Two days after that I received the message again. Tonight I received the message again. I don't want to argue with them about the age of the creamer, but I don't want to leave them feedback or return it either. I am growing tired of this spamming for feedback. What do you suggest?

You know, I have been buying and selling on eBay since the latter part of the 90s.

I have several ids. One has a substantial amount of feedback while another that I use for my primary buyer id. And I have had sellers think that I am new to eBay when in fact I am not. Some of tried to pull the wool over my eyes.

If you are happy, despite that fact it isn't old, then my input would be to either leave a positive feedback or none at all.

What gets me is in their email: "If the xxxxxxxxxx is as we presented, could you please leave a positive feedback on Ebay and/or a e-mail
statement that everything you received was as presented in our auction #xxxxxxxxxxxx."

I would leave them a Neg- "You asked for it you got - there is a line between persistant and dogmatic".

I had one of those people in the form of a customer. Took 3 weeks to get a payment out of them and then the idiotchild has the gall to put me on their mailing list with updates on their auctions. Then the feedback begging began. After opting out of their crap mail 3 times and ignoring two begging mails I informed them that if I ever recieved another piece of email from them that included anything but a heartfelt appology for being an annoying ass I would happily leave them feedback but I was quite positive that they would not like what I had to say.

When I ship a package I wait 10-14 days to hear from buyer or receive feedback. If I don't receive fb or hear anything I send them an email saying that I want to be certain they have received the item. Could they please verify receipt by leaving fb or responding to my email. That way it's their choice. If they email me but never send fb or if they don't respond at all I leave them alone. Bugging for feedback reminds me of Oliver saying "please sir, may I have some more?"

The nicest thing about getting a red star is that I no longer care about FB -- if someone leaves it for me, I immediately reciprocate!

Other than that, I ignore the fb forum now!

This seller seems to have forgotten the concept of eBay sales: ya sell for MOOLA not FEEDBACK!

Can't believe he's trolling you like this!

I'd send hime an email: "If ya don't stop with the begging emails, I really give you some feedback!"

I sent their email back and replied, "Please quit spamming me for feedback." We'll see what happens. I hope I don't get a negative. I admit I am slow about leaving it. More than one person has given me a nudge, but a polite one. And like I say I always leave feedback.

Remember the seller is working for you, not the other way around.

If they do email you again, I would suggest telling them that you will report them to eBay for harrassment if they send any more.

As a seller, I don't ask for feedbacks anymore. I figure if they leave one for me good. If they don't, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Whenever I ship an item, I send the buyer an email acknowledging receipt of payment and shipping along with an ETA and their FedEx tracking number. I request that they notify me either by feedback or email of the safe arrival of their item at which time I will leave feedback for them. That is the only time I ever appear to request feedback from a customer.

I always leave feedback but I never ask for it. In my letter that accompanies their purchase I have a paragraph that says

"If you have a spare moment please examine your purchase and let me know if your item arrived safe and sound. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or problems concerning your order."

I guess I would leave a positive but you could say: Item described as old but not but I am happy with my purchase. Something on that order and if you don't think a positive is in order just give a neutral. Block his emails for a while and he will stop.

Personally, I don't send an e-mail asking for feedback. I send it as part of the receipt I send with the product. Then if the buyer wishes to post it great, if not, oh well.

I however do not see anything wrong with one reminder e-mail asking to see if they like the item and to please post feedback. I do have a problem if they ask anymore than once though. This seller should move on and get more auctions ready and sell more items instead of worring about getting more feedback. I would do as suggested earlier and reply stating that you only give feedback on your leisure and only if the seller posts first.
