I've been having trouble with ebay being slow for about two months or so now. Sometimes it's so bad it makes my mouse hang up while it's loading, even on a cable connection. Nothing else seems to be having trouble..must be all the new stuff they've been doing. Sure makes it a pain when you're trying to look stuff up though.

It seems worse on a cable sometimes. Seven seconds on a cable modem seems like four minutes on a dialup connection. Everything on the web takes no more than a second or two but ebay takes a long time to load up these days.

A year ago or so I had the same problem and I have roadrunner. Everything else was lightning fast except ebay. My brother had the same problem, he has RR as well. We called Time Warner and they discovered there was a "routing" problem between ebay and them, RR. It was corrected after they were made aware of it.....

Hmmmm..our cable company just switched hands not too long ago. Come to think of it, the timing is just about right. Maybe I'll check into that. Thanks micmic.

Norma, do you have cookies blocked? I would definately check with my ISP and see what is going on. Or use that live help with EBAY and see if they can tell you what might be the problem. Good luck.

I Have Earthlink cable modem through Time Warner Cable in Austin, Texas and EVERYTHING is loading so slow for two days I'm not getting all the graphics. It usually runs at 2 mbs, which is pretty darn fast. Ebay still loads at a fair rate, but no pics on lots of auctions. Other pages not loading at all, no connection, or very slow. I called Time Warner local provider. Their call screening message says they are very aware of the problem and that there is a "virus issue" that engineers are working to solve.

Norma,
Have you resolved your problem?

I was going to say try closing out some of your other programs running on your computer. You know, do CTRL ALT DEL together, and end task on things you dont need running. That may unclog some used up memory and may speed up pages loading faster.
If that doesnt help try repairing Internet Explorer, if that is the browser you use.

edited to add: DELETE YOUR AOL ADAPTER. They get corrupted after a while. If you dont know how to do it ask AOL support to guide you through that. (all i can think of

If you do a lot of listing you will love broadband. I could never go back! Too bad there isn't a way to try before you buy so you could see the difference.

When I think of all the time I used to spend just waiting and waiting for pages to load I am amazed I ever got anything done.
