Now just those six letters, and I am sure you thought... oh boy who did they screw now?

Well I must congradulate you on your exceptional analytical thinking, as the lawyers would put it I am the screwee and PayPal is the screwor.

Just had my account forzen.. for suspecious activity.

Guess what it was.

No I wasn't trying to mass e-mail a password stealing email...shame on you!

And you! I know what you were thinking no I was NOT trying to launder billions to buy weapons of mass destruction.

No I did something MUCH WORSE!

I attempted to transfer money from my PayPal account to my VERIFIED bank account.

I am surly expecting to hear the low rumble of several Bell Black Hawk helicopters over laiden with special forces troops hell bent on a "mission of natioanl security" to prevent this deadly trend of account owners attempting to be to actually get the money they have earned.

And I will be their "Example"

I mean I am problably blowing this out of proportion...I mean it is only $1100.00 dollars. I mean come on... I dont know about you but just the other day I was in a bathroom stall minding my own business when the person in the stall next to me drops their wallet on the floor. I polity ask if they would like it back. Without a hint of hesitation he meerly asks it I would like to have it, as he has just been able to withdraw money from his PayPal account and has obviously had some sort of delirous episode from being able to do so.... right?

So what now?

Write their customer service department whom has to relay the message to the account review department, who then will attach a small note to a carrier pigeon and send it on its way to the land of account investigations where only in dreams will I be able to think of what might happen to my request.

Well I have to go... I think I heard a window break... and now there is smoke filling the rooms....aldjksfojvsdfvfv

That's AMAZING!

Out of the blue & for NO good reason, PayPal just decided to make YOUR life miserable?

Kind of random doom like "The Bridge of San Luis Rey"??

Ye have perfect feedback & no recent complaints from buyers, right??

No selling Romanian cell-phones, right??

I doubt if it is the withdrawl of the 1100 that is the issue.

I suspect that there is some issue about how you got the money into your acount.

I believe there is a limit as to how much you can transfer at any one time. Read the R & R of P/P. You might find the answer. Don't ask us to solve your problem. Go to P/P & open up gthe section regarding withdrawls. You will find that you must submit extra credentials in order to withdraw more than $500.00 per month.. I have transferred $$ more times than I can remember. Have never had a problem . I usuall transfer 3 to 500 dollars.

I used to be a securities regulator. Banks and securities firms are required to report cash transactions over $1000 to the regulating authority. This may have something to do with it; PayPal monies may qualify as "cash". Recommend you move cash before it exceeds the limit.

I know you probably didn't pay much for that; but you never know, it could be worth nothing.

You are correct. It is $10,000. But they aggregate transactions within a certain time frame. Or note the IRS reference in the attached.

As I said before, read the section on withdrawls in PayPal. It states that you must provide additional authenitication before you can transfer more than $500.00

Further credentials for more than 500?
Like what?
What a pain after you've put in the work to get your own money!

an account can be restricted for many reasons-
if it is accessed from a country on paypal black list .
if the bank account you wish to transfer fund to is not yours.
if buyer files complaint.
if the money in the account comes from questionable source.

Every time I think about starting to use Paypal I just read over these messages and remember why I still make and take payments the old fashioned way. Checks and Money orders. They make take a little longer to recieve but no hassle.
By the way, is it proper for a seller to charge a fee to use Paypal to recoup the fees Paypal charges him? I just saw an auction w/a 3 percent surcharge if the buyer used Paypal.

The guy charging 3 percent is in Maryland.
And I do everything the old way. Still use Win98, still have a VCR player and a turntable and the only reason I have a new amp/reciever with surround sound cabilities is because lightening destroyed my other system and I HAD to replace it. With my luck I'd have Paypal freeze my acct before I ever won the lottery. I dont do enough auctions to really bother anyway. It's a fun pasttime and I'd rather not
complicate it.

I had to get a new TV too, same lightening bolt (it almost got me). The VCR we replaced several years ago because the old one finally wouldnt rewind. I dont use the newer one much, cant figure out how to use it. I'd still be happily using all the old stuff if Mother Nature wouldnt have destroyed it. I dont like spending money on new things when the old one worked just fine and they cost more than the new ones (somehow that's backwards, but the way things work now). Besides I dont like trying to figure out how the new things work.

Stop - buy a head cleaing cassette and clean your heads. Very simple. - just pop the casette in like anyo ther, hit play for a 20 seconds and pop it out. As old as the VCR is the heads may be about dead but you can buy a brand new Panasonic PCR on ebay for $35 - I have two of them.

Quite a few sellers try to do this, some may be unaware that they're not supposed to.

Interesting ...all of the feedback.

Heck one of you even thinks I'm a lady.

But I am horrible at spelling.

Lets put it this way

Are you willing to go into business on Ebay... and lets say as my business was doing... upwards of 150 orders per day.

Now things are going great...I am making 50-60K per month and BAM! paypal locks down the account. Now remember my fine young bastians of internet serfdom..PayPal IS NOT REQUIRED TO CONFORM TO ANY BANKING RULES... especially the ones governing dispute resolution.

Now those orders keep coming in... and those that wont be getting their orders could eaisly leave negative feedback... and then there goe's your rating... and now what start from scratch?

I am glad I saw the light

I've been dealing with PayPal for a few years now and have never had a problem.

Did you actually read the info before you signed up or did you automatically assume you knew what was going on? They do include the fine print for a reason, not just for grins and giggles.

Sorry, but without the full story, I've got to say it sounds fishy. You're doing $50,000 to $60,000 per month? If you are doing that kind of volume, why not just get a credit card machine and run it yourself? And this is the very first time you've run into this? When you've pulled money out befoe, what kind of amount was it?

have we heard this story before??
do 50-60k a month, wham, paypal locks up the account and new orders keep coming in and seller cant pay the vendor to ship goods.
so bidders not only neg the seller, also file chargeback with credit card company, file complaints with paypal.
paypal is more determined to keep the account restricted.
are you selling electronic goods on ebay, are you doing drop shippers??
good luck!!

Nobody is listening!! Go to PayPal; Go to Use agreement. Click on Payment etc, go to Section IV. This spells it out in detail. All of you are side stepping the real issue. You have go by P/P's rules & regs. If you do, you won't have any problems. Is that so hard to understand??
