Just recieved an email from an idiot customer complaining that the widget display item she pruchased did not come with widgets. Well duh you brain dead idiot child. You paid under $20 with shipping for a widget display and for some reason thought that it would magically be accompanied by widgets with a retail value of $500 - $1000. I realise that you have the brain power of a tin can but please do not insult me by assuming that I to am as functionally incompetent as yourself. In the future please limit your buying habits to See Spot Run books until such time as you have acquired the intelligence and reading comprehension skills needed to function in a market society.

OK, I feel much better now....

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Well, considering the typo in the title, I'm glad I did not insult her spelling or typing skills

There is a reason EVERYTHING has a disclaimer nowadays.

On the shelf behind my desk at work I have a small aquarium box that I bought a few years back. The picture on the box shows the aquarium with fish & decorations in it. Sure enough there is a note at the bottom of picture..."Water and fish not included." You have to wonder what story went along with that line being added to the box.

It was just so amazing I saved the box long after I got rid of the aquarium!

Replay - the display in question was shown with no widgets. There was nothing to inspire this assumption on the buyers part other than wishful thinking

I love strange disclaimers too. My favorites come on foreign made items. This is one from a storage jar... I have it tacked to me message board. Spelling, spacing and punctuationis as it appears on label....

The article has much adcantage with nonpoison. Tastless.Unbroken.Acideproof and and alkalaiproof etc.The best sealing. Be most useful & practical for familes.

As my kids watch cartoons there is a Cheerleading Barbie commercial that comes on. At the end of the ad the disclaimer says, "Dolls don't move or talk on their own...DUH"! I thought that was funny to add the "DUH!" in there.

Go buy a kite at the toy store for your 7 year old. When you open the package, you give up every right you have under state law, the U.S. Constitution and the Holy Bible. And that's just getting you warmed up for when you buy them their first bicycle!

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

"Oh, you want all three? Cool, how about $6.00 a piece then? Just $18.00 total! Deal?"

Or

"These probably sell for $10.00 on Ebay!" "Or $35.00 for all three"

Or

"These are the display models. Assembly is extra you know!"

Back to your original post, Fenix...

I assumed maybe your picture had widgets on it. If there was a picture of an EMPTY display, then yeah, your buyer is an idiot.

There's a great comedian that does a bit about stupid people. His name is Bill Engvall. Here's a link to some of his stuff. I apologize for the colors the owner of the site used, it was the first site I came up with that didn't have pop ups...

Also found on that site....

Warning found on a Swedish chain saw:
"Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals."

That is an honest to goodness sign! It's on the Husquevarna chainsaws! My boyfriend used to be a "urban horticulture maintainer" (a.k.a. a lumberjack) and he has shown that sign to me on his saw.
