Wow! The almost completed auction shows that ebay is really not enforcing most of its rules very stridently any more. With the 'report abuse' system getting more and more complicated and buried in numerous hurdles there must less and less reporting of infractions by ebayers too, and that was the keystone to the whole abuse system.

That makes me sick to my stomach that they have that still up. And from someone with such high feedback who should know better.

There is nothing wrong with that auction and it is NOT against ebay rules. It is only the upper part and not a complete gun.
If you notice the category, you will see that ebay even has a category for gun parts.

What is another seller has the other missing parts for sale? Ebay greed is not letting them ban sale of gun parts.

This is not a gun!
It's a pipe and some tin work.

The receiver is not there, that's where the serial numbers and working parts are!
The receiver is the part that gets registered.

There is nothing illegal about this auction. i used to buy, sell & trade firearms & don't see any thing wrong with this.

Correct, it is not a firearm, but the upper component. As to the "OTHER" part, the lower receiver, it can only be sold by a dealer with a FFL (Federal Firearms License), The purchaser must complete a BATF Form 4473, then the dealer uses the FBI's Insta Check to perform a background check. Once cleared (proving no felony or domestic abuse convections) the purchaser is free to complete the transaction.

There is nothing illegal about this part being sold on eBay as it IS NOT A COMPLETE FIREARM
