It looks like the USPS site gives you a price of $24.45 - unless you want something to take between 4-6 weeks, then it's only $19.15.

Have you checked out UPS or FedEx? I'd do the calcualations for FedEx for you, but you need the destination address and origin zip code.

See what your options are with these carriers before you pony up the bucks for USPS.

Did some more searching and it appears that you could get it to Quebec for about $15 and change via FedEx Ground - from PA, that is....

Of course, that would include $100 insurance, I guess, so there's a savings there, too. And, it showed about 4 days for delivery.

Be sure to warn him about the big brokerage fee UPS will hit him with if he chooses that option.

M bag. If it's under the required rate you still have to pay the required rate but I think it's cheaper. It's literally a BAG though, so make sure you pad it well.

And you might want to call ahead and let them know you need a bag....it can take them a while to rustle one up.

oh, and I printed out some address labels and took with me for putting on the package. I think it also has to be labeled on the inside but it's been so long I don't remember.

the good thing was, the last time I used it for Canada, it took a week for the books to arrive. that was a pretty good delivery time I thought.
