Had a BIN on an item almost 3 weeks ago. No response from customer for 6 days. Then she e-mails me and lets me know that it is unfortunate for me that her daughter used her E-Bay account # to bid on a bunch of items. I responded that it was indeed unfortunate for her as the kid was her responsibility and she was responsible for payment.
After more than 2 weeks of waiting for payment, I finally left her Negative Feedback for Non-payment.
Now, she has left me Negative Feedback for failing to work with Buyer. Isn't this a crazy world we have to deal with and screwy customers?
I want to know the best way to go with this thing and get my Negative Feedback removed??

1- Leave a response with lots of "naughty" words?
2- Dispute the Negative with E-Bay as unfair?
3- Use the help of a Power Seller to get the Feedback removed?

What have been your experiences with Negative Feedback? I have had some Negatives in the past, nothing to worry about, but this particular buyer already has a recent Non-payment Feedback and probably has more coming.

If she has had 3 within the last 6 months she should be NARU. I would respond to her negative in a very professional mannor saying "Children should not be given eBay password so they can bid. Your Mistake". Or something on that order. Turn your negative into a positive and blame that buyer.

How many negs do you have?

It is amazing the worrying people do over a complaint from a buyer...

Anything other than a professional response will show you to be unprofessional, so which would hurt you more?

Are you a professional or not? Guess that is what you need to ask yourself....

I once used square trade to remove a neg. Only neg I ever got was from some dolt that didn't check his mailbox. Claimed he never got the item, so I refunded him everything including shipping. Then he negs me for not sending the item.

He ended up paying the $20 fee to get it removed.

my 2¢,

Rob

I sell snowboard gear, at the platinum level, Obviously a lot of my clientele are kids, So I get A LOT of non payers, most NEVER email me, the ones that do and tell me they made a mistake get this response--
"No problem, I'll just need to file with ebay to get my sellers fee's back, you'll be getting some email from ebay, just ignore it, it won't affect your feedback etc, Thanks, David" I agree it sucks and its a pain, but its also a reality, not everyone is gonna pay, Whats the point in getting in a feedback war, Vendio makes it pretty simple to see who's paid and who hasn't and a one click button to file...
Just my 2C

Power sellers is no help.
Dirty words is a great idea! poof! maybe? I dunno for positive.

Never!!!! Never!!!! Never!!!! leave negative feed back, they have nothing to lose once you've done that to them and you will surely get exactly what you got righ back.

Just file and go.

Square trade,,,,$20.00. It WILL go away.

I got a nuetral,,,,I told the buyer ,,,I will post filthy dirty words in you feed back and e bay WILL remove it.

Up pops an e mail from Square trade! The buyer contacted the FREE???? service. Cried about the dirty words.

I simply clicked close her case and opened my own. SHE paid the $20.00 in a few days it's going bye bye......

Lead or be left in the Dust....

Dirty words won't work, ebay has a filter on the feedback form. Contact info in the feedback might work. You'll get a harmless warning from ebay but they may remove th entire feedback due to an old programming glitch.

I recently got neg. feedback removed for an invalid email address, and while I was filling out my form, I saw that one of the reasons for removing neg. feedback was for "retaliatory neg. feedback". You have to go the through the process of reporting it, and asking to have it removed, and then eBay sends you an email with a form to fill out. It's worth a try.

As far as I am aware e-bay do not regard retaliatory feedback as a reason for removal. I Have been battling for them for weeks on this and they seem deaf to it, according to them it does meet their criterior for removal......

Seems like most negative feedbacks are retaliatory feedbacks and ebay never seems to remove any of them.

seven20sports said it best about deadbeats on ebay I agree it sucks and its a pain, but its also a reality, not everyone is gonna pay

MY expert advice is learn to live with it.
If you can't then just donate $20 top the Squaretrade/Ebay coffers. They'll be happy to add it to their bottom line, money for nuttin=$20 profit on a $20 no sale. In golf that would be a "Gimme".

I went to http://pages.ebay.com//help/contact_inline/report_problem.html then clicked on "feeback concerns", then "I feel feedback was underserved". I explained the problem, and a couple of days later got an email from eBay telling me to fill out the form on the clickable page. I know that one of the reasons they gave for removing was retaliatory feedback. I think all you would need to show is that you gave feedback, and filed NPB, and then the buyer gave you a neg. It's worth a try, and certainly doesn't cost $20 like Square Trade.

Thanks for all your input. I decided to try Ambers idea and fill out the forms at Customer Support and see what happens. If nothing results from this, then I will post a carefully worded response.

I don't like getting Neg Feedback from all the screwballs out there, but understand that it happens to all of us. I take my business very seriously. I haven't had many in the 3 years I have been using E-Bay. What irks me is that once a buyer uses the BIN to buy, it is a done deal regarding the buyers with No (0) Feedbacks yet. I don't believe you can cancel the bid once the item has sold BIN, can you?

That's my $00.02.

If retaliatory negs were removable free of charge Ebay would need a whole new crew to handle that task since 50% of the negatives on Ebay are retaliatory.

Come back and let us know when the remove it.

Just respond to it stating that it was a retalitory negative after you left one to the deadbeat for not paying. It won't hurt you. In fact buyers do see that and will shrug off the bogus feedback left to you. Then move on and keep selling. Spend your time making your auctions the best they can be instead of pouting over a big nothing.
