I just got a request total email from an AOL buyer (he should have received a PP WBN)- he referenced one auction when in actuality he won TWO on subsequent days..I tried to send an EBay invoice and an email stating that the totals had been combined etc..both got bounced back stating "this account is not accepting emails from your account" !!!!!!!!!! What's up with this?? Anyone else have this happen?

He probably has his preferences set to block all outside mail except from AOL members and has forgot about it. You can try through Yahoo or Hotmail ad see if that works, but it will probably bounce back also. You can install AOL Instant Messenger and when you see him online, IM him and tell him to unblock the account he uses on Ebay before they bust him for invalid contact info.

Try to contact him from another screen name. If that is blocked, then everything is blocked and IM will be the only way to contact him other than a phone call.

Every single EOA to an AOL buyer has bounced for the last month. A majority of the eBay invoices bounce, too. Most of the time I have no clue because I don't get a bounce message. It's so bad that all of my new listings will have a special AOL message.

Reason number 798 why not to use AOL!

I'm having problems too. I even received a payment yesterday where the bidder said they could not contact me. And, I don't use AOL, I have a cable modem.

I have several who just go to Ebay checkout and then tell me they never got EOA notices.

I am considering adding a paragraph to my TOS that I always send out notices as soon as auctions end, but many do not make it to the intended receiver due to spam blockers. Not exactly like that, but something before I wind up getting negs over it.

Lindajean, I'm on cablemodem, too. Comcast.

Now I'm wondering if I should title the notice "Spam Blockers" or "AOL". The problem seems to be only with AOL for me. And I might be slightly prejudiced but the internet sophistication level of AOL users tends to be generally low. So something titled Spam Blocker might sail right over their heads.
