I know this has probably been discussed, but I obviously didn't pay attention since I was never interested in eBay stores...so please go easy on me

Can you list items for eBay stores through Vendio's sales manager? Is it the same as a "fixed price" auction? I looked at the other Vendio boards and couldn't find an answer...

Thank you very much

After searching and searching...I clicked on "Sales Manager Pro", and found that it does. But it doesn't say how to list items for an eBay store.

I opened my Sales Manager Pro and can do a fixed price, but the maximum duration is ten days - am I missing something?

After you choose your category for your listing you go to the next page and can choose Auction, Fixed price or eBay store.

Thank you, kiara - but now I feel really stupid

I have my Sales Manager Pro open, and if I select a category, it goes to a Vendio store. I obviously am doing something wrong...

I'm just checking from Sales Manager and it gives me a choice, I'm not using the Pro. Maybe someone else can help you as I no longer have an ebay store but have been thinking about it again.

I just posted on the Sales Manager Pro board, so hopefully we will both know before too long...

Are you using the Sales Manager Pro v5.3? That is the latest one and maybe you don't have the version that supports ebay stores? That's all I can think of now.

Another question (sorry!) - hope someone can help...

Is there a way I can edit auctions in Vendio to launch to eBay store, or do I need to completely redo?

Thank you very much!!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but I edit unsold items through "relist" (post sale -unsold items - though I think this can be accomplished on sold items too with the "copy" feature) . First I schedule a "relist" some time in the future and then cancel it and then edit it as a store item and launch.

neglus - quick question (I hope)...

when you are moving items from auction to your eBay store, can you schedule a launch just as you would an auction?

Just found this wgm..yes you can schedule a store listing just as you would a new listing..it is handled the same way as any pending auction. You can also "save" it to schedule launch whenever you want.

In fact, I have saved a lot of time lately by doing my listings by this same technique:

I copied an old listing and scheduled "relist" sometime in the future. Then I cancelled the launch. The listing became "pending" without a scheduled launch date (and therefore editable). Next I edited this and created a new "prototype listing" (I have about 5 basic protypes that are easily to edit to create a new listing) and hit "save". The prototypes then hang out at the top of my pending listings.

When i am ready to list, I "copy" the appropriate prototype (leaving a copy in "pending" and edit the new listing to suit my new auction and schedule launch.

After I schedule the auction, VD confirms the schedule and a "return to control panel" comes up at the bottom of the screen..then I'm right back in "pending" auctions and ready to copy another prototype pending auction and so on etc..

This saves time in that I don't have to hit "ebay" to start the a new listing, wait for the category tree etc etc.

wow! I rambled! Sorry, but I am so excited about this!! It is saving me so much time that I have to come here to take a break

Generally you try to schedule auctions so that you have the ending time you want on the auction. Generally this is done so your item will be at the top of the list when you think people are looking for it.

On Ebay Stores, there is not the same Ending Time strategy as auctions, and it is probably best to go ahead and get it to your store as soon as you can.

Also, it will not show up in the regular auction searches, so if you are able to market the item, or link to it off some of your auctions, that helps.

thank you so much!

I am trying to get some things ready for my store, and want to put them in the store at the same time, so that is terrific! And the copy in pending sounds wonderful!!

It's the pits that store items don't show up in searches - wish eBay would re-think that one. Do the store items show up if you do a search by seller, or does it just return their auction items?

I am planning on inserting a link to my store on my auction pages, so hopefully that will help

You are the best! thank you again!!

Yes, your store items show up when they search by Seller, when the seller is you.

It is the pits that store items don't show up in regular search! There is a special "store" search tab when you click on the "search" at the top of the eBay page if people knew to search the stores...

I don't know if you saw this in another thread but here is sample html for a store search that I have placed in my auctions ( saved in "custom listing text" in Vendio) -
of course you would want to customize for your store unless you'd like to send your buyers to my store LOL!!
You can take a look at one of my auctions to see what it looks like - I'm not entirely happy with the color but it gets the job done.:
