Well I have heard it all from ebay now. I Have been imploring them to change their system so that once a seller has filed his NPB and claimed his Fees back, non paying buyers can not leave negative feedback.
I Suppose it is a moot point as to whether you actually think a non paying bidder is honest or not, from the legal standpoint..but anyhow here is what ebay says (my inverts)....

"The feedback system is set up so both members can express their opinion.
They both get an equal voice even if one is a Non-Paying Bidder.

eBay believes in an open and honest environment".

This is why many people do not file negatives against non paying bidders.

In my opinion, Final Value Fee Filings are important, negatives are generally not, and in my humble opinion serves little purpose.

If someone buys something from me, and has several negative feedbacks from people complaining of NPB, it does not do me much good, except to let me know that my FVF request may be the final straw for the person, and may prompt me to start the NPB Process a little quicker than I might otherwise.

All it takes is a new Ebay ID and their slate is clean of negative feedback.

The negative they leave you in return is going to be there as long as you use your ID to sell, unless you can convince (pay) someone to make it go away.

Again, my 2 cents.

They will never change this, I bet ebay wishes they never created feedback. It has to be just a pain for them to deal with feedback questions.

I never leave negative for NPB - Why bother? I do FVF, but a neg won't do anything to the bidder. Even though I have never received a neg as a bidder, why would it bother me? Is the next seller going to cancel the auction because I have a neg? If I had several negs, I can take 90 seconds to open a brand new account, and get a clean slate. It's stacked against the seller, so why participate? I return positive for every positive left, and that works well for me.

Actually:
There should be no comments on feedback.
Just simply a number change after each completed deal!

I value your opinion about feedback, but it is my opinion Ebay does not "Wish they never created feedback".

In fact they protect it as their property, and it is so important to their business, they do not let you use it to justify yourself as a seller outside Ebay.

Even with it's problems, the feedback system is what gives buyers comfort, and lends a way to justify sending money to strangers.

With the feedback system in place, it allows informed consumers to choose what risk they are willing to take, with some degree of certainty.

I know personally letting people know about buying products on Ebay, I explain the feedback system, and how to determine if there is a higher likelihood than not that they will end up with a good transaction.

With many or most other venues I can not pass on the same assurances.
