Has anyone tried to list books on Ebay using the new method by just entering the ISBN? If so, are you able to do it using SMPRO?

I listed some DVDs via this method. As of now it does seem that Vendio supports this. They should because it makes it so much easier to list things like DVD, Books and CDs.

This info was in today's AuctionBytes newsletter

eBay also announced its "Pre-filled Item Information" feature is now available.
Pre-filled Item Information allows sellers to use ISBN and UPC codes, as well as
keywords, to pull up stock listing information on items in the Video Games,
Music, Movies and Books categories.

There is a glitch that in the Pre-filled Item Information feature that hides the
camera icon when members are browsing listings. The glitch affects listings in
which a seller has used a stock photo for the listing but no pictures of their
own. (The camera icon indicates that the auction description includes a
photograph of the item.)

I think part of their half.com merge will involve that. I agree, it makes it easier

I think Ebay is a poor site to list books; better to list with Amazon or Half.com

I've tried listing books on Amazon--the sales are few and far between there. Same with Yahoo. Looked at half.com & didn't like it. Books do very well on eBay, for--I list all kinds of books, too.

Books on all book selling venues are doing worse and worse. Abebooks with their 45 million books database recently changed the search results presentation to default to the lowest prices first. That has to make a lot of book sellers angry at Abe. There are many books that range in price from $5 to $100. Bookfinder.com with 50+ million books has always listed the search results that way and more and more sellers are listing low prices to be the top choice ( just like on Half ).

I have a lot on Half.com and thought I would try putting a few things by ISBN in my store, like I had been doing on Half.com.

I came to the realization real quick, I was going to be doing a lot of typing to put all of my terms of service in the listing, as it is usually placed in the auction by Vendio.

Half.com accepts the payments for you, and there is simple terms of service that everyone adheres to. Not too much extra required.

I gave up listing to Ebay by ISBN. If Vendio eventually was able to support it, it would be nice to fill up my store with the listings that had gone to Half.com.
you would think the half.com going away will give somewhat of a boost to people searching the Stores.

Marie of One Cent CDs wrote about having thousands of her CD auctions stuck in ebay because of the new quick-fill format conflicting with her third party auction management service. All of these format changes have to be driving the third party services bananas.

Question: Does Marie really sell 1 cent CDS? Hmmm, how does she do that?

amzn lists books by price also, the cheapest one is the first one you see.
but if you have a good book which you know is out of print and would not be reprinted any time soon, just be patient.
i just sold my last copy of a certain book at 295 on amzn marketplace,it is the only copy left in the entire cyberworld.

not every shopper on amzn or half goes for the lowest price .some think it is a hoax, some want a nice.mint copy.
books move fast on amzn,so just be patient .
i have 7 copies of a certain book which is getting scarcer and scarcer,if i want to jump ahead and sell mine first,i would be giving them away at 25 dollars, but i list them at 100-295 and sold them all,it may takes longer but it is worth it.
once again, know your books, and dont forget, amzn takes a commish of 15% on marketplace.

What's Older Books?

I find the following books sells well at Half.com:

out of print
non-fiction (medical, science, psych)
textbooks

I cannot for the life of me sell non-fiction at Half or Amazon because they're a dime a dozen.
