Sorry Ebayers - No one so far has offered usable advice, and I don't wish to confuse anyone any further. So I have pulled the post, and I thank those who tried to help.

Horsemanic....Ebay don't remove untrue negative feedbacks,if not they would be removing about 99% of the negatives.
Not all untrue statemenst are libelous and since you didn't choose mention teh untrue statement in question I would assume that it was simply a mild untruth. Move on,learn to live with it as it will be there for a while.

What was the feedback they left for you? We can't really give good advice unless we know the specifics.

Overstated shipping? How much? a quarter? A Dollar? Ten Dollars? Did he have it stated in the auction terms to begin with?

Come on, a charge back over shipping charges? Did you request a charge back on the whole amount? Did you keep your item? You left a lot of unanswered questions in your post.

You deserved the neg but seller should have stuck to the facts. And, the same with your neg to him.

If the CC chargeback was done directly on a Payapl transaction,my guess is that the Paypal account is also history

He said feedback was this,
FB states I received a total refund and kept the items, and I am as crooked as they come

The over payment of shipping was $100.00 ?????
Amount = close to $100 Is this right ???

No clue

I am confuzzled....Since he also said "I received refund of shipping overcharge only".
From what I understand he expected that if the shipping turned out to be wrong he gets a total refund of the item price and the total shipping, not the overcharged difference.

Some people will try to squeeze an ounce of blood oot of a flea simply on principle.

Overpayment of $100 shipping? Did you keep the item?

Why on earth would you have agreed to that amount of shipping in the first place? Item must have been extremely heavy! Or not?

No opinion here just curious. How much shipping did you pay for there to be a $100 overcharge?

Lindajean.... "I received refund of shipping overcharge only". (But I expected a full refund of purchase price and shipping ?????)

horsey: I saw that statement but assumed (since he sounded angry now over responses) that he had typed it out in a hurry and that it was a typo.

Surely he didn't expect a full refund???

Horsemanic...My opinion is that feedback does not qualify for removal under Ebay's guidleines.
You said " I received refund of shipping overcharge only, as seller originally stated would be made."
Then you calim you are out $100.
MY opinion is that thios story has 25 sides and we are only hearing one.

If you don't want opinions don't post on public boards.

You and the seller would be the only two people who knows all the FACTS and it's 25 sides.

Has anyone here pursued a libel case against a seller or buyer?

No. I have a life, and a sense of proportion.

You guys are not reading it right.
He didn't expect to get a total refund, he expected to get a Refund of the difference and he did not get it.

I received refund of shipping overcharge only, as seller originally stated would be made, but then refused to make

We wonder why bidders can't read ???
What about sellers that can't read, and /or add something that is not said ???

Go READ it again.

Wrightsracing.....How could he say "I received refund of shipping overcharge only, as seller originally stated would be made, but then refused to make."

"I received refund of shipping overcharge only, as seller originally stated would be made" and then say "but then refused to make".
If the seller refused to make the refund there is now way he could have "received refund of shipping overcharge only".

I'm terribly confused. Did you receive the refund of shipping or what? If so, what's your problem?

It would be nice if you'd pop back in and clarify.

Otherwise, if you have received a refund, and this is all over feedback, you need to get a life. And no, I don't think there are that many people who would pursue a lawsuit over $100.

Wrights...Read the whole thing again.
Fact: Seller stated they would charge exact shipping, based on box size, and if there was a difference after mailing, a refund would be made.(Seems like the maniac is interpreting this as a FULL refund since he goes on to say.)

I received refund of shipping overcharge only, as seller originally stated would be made, but then refused to make.

Sure wish horsemaniac would have posted his/her's eBay id so I can block him/her...

"I am only looking for information if someone has pursued FB removal or libel case. Opinions not needed, just facts."

If that is how you feel, talk to your attorney - maybe you can provide all FACTS to him. You can't expect to get any guidance here with half-a!s facts and an attitude like that. No wonder the seller neg'd you.

most bidders have some idea how much shipping is,if not stated on item page.
i find it hard to believe seller overcharged shipping by 100 dollars and the buyer goes along with it.

Brilliant.

That edit feature is really handy, isn't it? You can always change your story if the tide of opinion isn't going your way.

I doubt if anyone can offer usable advice to someone who comes across as confused as you do.

Guess that means horsey was right. He did want more than the difference in refund! Otherwise, he would have explained himself.

Hope he never finds any of my listings.
