Hi all, For those of you that have them, I'm wondering which would work better for my application, I use Endicia, print about 100 labels per week, use USPS priority almost exclusively (UPS for international) I like to have my logo with my return address, Any opinions? likes/dislikes, cost one vs the other etc etc?

Thanks
David

Hi David,

I personally like the Zebra printer better than the Dymo printer. When I started selling I was debating on the two and in the end I chose the Zebra LP2844. It was cheaper and easier to use for me, I mainly use the USPS with Endicia but sometimes UPS or FedEx. I just use the same 4x6 label for all three of them. I bought mine off of Ebay for $160.00 brand new and have found rolls for about $9-$11 each with 250 labels per roll. You can find bigger rolls and better prices if you buy more than 1 case at a time. As for the logo, I'm pretty sure you can use Dazzle to add it to your label.

I didn't choose the Dymo because I could only use it for the Post Office and the labels were like $13.00 per roll and came in 2 or 3 part labels. If I wanted to use UPS or FedEx, I had to use my regular printer. I was afraid that the ink might run if the label got wet and I didn't want to buy waterproof ink for a couple of packages.

Good luck on finding what you need.

I owned a Dymo for about a year it was a very good printer, but the labels were expensive. I now have an Eltron (Now Zebra) I purchased it from ebay for $90. I get the labels from UPS for shipping. I like it better than the Dymo because the labels are bigger. It was a little more difficult to configure, but it was worth it.

I think UPS and Fed-EX will give you the Zebra Labels at no charge if you have an account with them.

The Zebra is sort of their STANDARD printer, and UPS will rent you a zebra printer for a couple of dollars a week.

Short term to try it, would be a good deal.

Fedex might give you one free if you do enough volume with them.

Ditto on the Zebra and using UPS's free labels for all my needs. If you have an account with them they will ship as many as you need and so far the post office hasn't said anything about the small UPS logo on the bottom of the labels.
