I have one bid on this item; I started it at 9.95 or so with a reserve of $25. How could one bid hit the reserve? Could it be that he bid a proxy at least that high or higher?

Yes, if the first bidder happens to bid over your reserve, the current price will show that the reserve has been met. He really wants that item, I guess!
BTW to get your link to show up, use [] instead of <>

Thanks. I thought so, but got confused. Someone asked the seller (me) a question as to how that could have happened, and his user name was close enough to the bidder's user name on this item that I thought maybe the bidder made an error or something.
It's LATE!!!
