You've probably seen the new look by now, what do you think?

I like the layout, but the colors are too dark- the text is hard to read.

Otherwise, I like it!

realplay, i havent seen it yet but somebody (not sure if was you or roads?)- said my pictures are too dark.
But I find myself always going for the darker ones than lighter. (I wonder if I see better dark, then without a lot of light?) Seems they look better to me darker? I wonder if people have some certain affectations with their eyes?

Not me. I'm not even sure what you sell.

But there doesn't appear to be any good color choice available anyway. I looked at a lot of options last night, and they ALL look too dark for my taste. eBay wanted colorful, but those colors should be a little more muted for easier reading.

...And it's REPLAY... RE-PLAY like playing it again! No, I'm not really a psychotic, but I have that awful realplayer software on my system and hate the mental comparison

Replay,

I agree.... the colors are definately too dark. The problem is with the link. Since the default color for link text is blue, you need a light colored background for the text. I had to change my previous store color scheme because it was making the text way to hard to read. I think the best one available right now is their "gold" choice.

The good news is that I don't think they've finished with all the changes yet. It looks like they're kinda rolling them out bit-by-bit. Their site says you're supposed to be able to have more custom categories, and the ability to design your own store w/ HTML. (hopefully that will take care of the color problem!) Anyhow... thanks for posting this so I could make the necessary edits in my store!

Tessa, they are talking about the new ebay store color layouts being too dark not photos. I think ebay may be trying to get their stores to look more uniform and not so rinky dink.

I do like the new layout of the stores~they look more like a regular ecommerce website with the header and categories on the left.

However, I was almost blinded by the colors! I could barely read the text on the Lavender background I have. I changed it to Khaki and it looks like 70's puke. Changed it to Gold and it's still pretty bad. Gave up and went back to Lavender. Will it increase my sales? Here's to hoping!
