I just visited one of Ebay's discussion boards, and I see why I only do it about 2 - 3 times a year. They waste too much time. When are they going to go with Vendios idea of email notification when someone replies to a thread you have been following? The way it is here you can work and keep in touch, too.

If the eBay discussion boards would stick to a discussion instead of: What did you do this morning, What did you have for dinner etc if you know what I mean.

I think the chat groups are even worse than the discussion boards. I don't blame people for being friendly with their "pals" on a discussion board. We do it here--but not to excess, I think.
Trouble is having to go to the board after asking a question--plowing through everything to see if your question has gotten an answer. It is VERY time-consuming, I agree. I've gotten a couple of decent answers in the last two years and a few questions with no replies whatsoever. I do wish ebay would fix this. If Vendio can do it, why can't they?
I've gotten 10,000% better help here on Vendio than I've ever gotten from Ebay, period.
