Is anyone besides me worried about Christmas coming and people wanting to ship to unconfirmed addresses? I just know people are going to wait until they are down to the wire and want me to ship gifts paid by PayPal straight to a relative's unconfirmed address. I don't think buyers are going to want to overnight the payment to me.

The only problem I ever had was to a confirmed address, and the out come was the same!

i have a shop outside ebay and most xmas shoppers want the items shipped to them.
for all the 7 years selling on ebay,i dont recall too many bidders asking me to ship the items to someone else for xmas.

this would be an idea for paypal-let them offer some form of insurance for seller who ship to unconfirmed address and the buyer has to pay for that seller insurance.

Kasue, I have shipped hundreds of items to unconfirmed PayPal address not one problem yet. I am shipping a $200.00 unconfirmed item tomorrow. Lots of my customers want their items sent to their work address etc.

I used to ship to unconfirmed addresses, in fact I did a lot of them right before Xmas last year. I have heard so many horror stories here and on Ebay's Paypal discussion board, that I am scared to do so now. Even if you require a signature, if something goes wrong I don't believe PayPal will do anything because it wasn't sent to a confirmed address. In fact, you might want to read Ebay's PayPal discussion board before you ship. I think having the buyer pay an insurance fee if they want it sent to some place unconfirmed is a GREAT idea. Because I know they can have more than one address confirmed. There is no reason we should have to risk losing our money and our merchandise when they can have another confirmed address. Pure laziness if you ask me.

Seems to me, if you're concerned about this, why not ask the seller to add some money for insurance and explain your concerns to him/her.
