I RECEIVED THIS FROM HER 12 HOURS AFTER AUCTN OVER...[AFTER HER INITIAL EMAIL SHE BOUGHT ITEM AT MIN. BID, A FEW MINUTES BEFORE AUCTION EXPIRED]]
Hello "my old day",
I am writing to your regarding the email and subsequent bid I placed in this auction. I am the one who placed the winning bid.I was using my Mom's sight to browse for chairs. When I saw these I called her and the customer for whom I was hoping they would work out for. I panicked when I couldn't find either one of them and placed the bid thinking the "Buy it Now" was a reserve price. I would like you to contact me aat my address which is: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I apologize for all the confusion. I still am not able to locate this customer to send her this auction. I wanted to retract the bid, but wasn't sure how. I am always trying to help others in need when it comes to finding furniture for them. I am not sure why. I wasn't even making anything for doing it. I don't want to cause my Mom any negative feedback as she has an excellent accourt rating. Please call me collect or email xxxXXXXXXX. I will pay for this auction to be relisted if these people dont want the chairs. I am sorry. Sincerely, xxxxx[HER MOM'S F/B IS 100% @+500]

now, i admit i have two of my four negs from this kind of transaction - so you can just imagine how i was feeling about having a cancellation on a $699.00 sale...after i got my "passion" back in check, i sent her the following email....
--------------------------------------------------------------
Ms. XXXXX:
i received your email...i have, as of last night, sent you two emails expecting-hoping for an explanation as to the "deal" you were offering...the second one was after you had purchased the chairs and the auction was over - BUT no reply to either...considering the auction was successful; this morning i dispatched someone to drive couple hundred miles to get the cartons i use to pack the chairs...while the investment is not wasted in purchasing them , for i will be able to eventually use the cartons - the timing is unfortunate for you, and costly for me...your bid was accepted and a contract was made...having "said" that; i realize that there are two sides to this situation...your panic and mistake - and my loss monetarily...but, you bid with your mom's user info; and further you contacted me with that address - i am presuming that is why you didnt answer my emails - your other address; the one with which subsquently you sent the above explanation is, as you state, where you would like to be contacted. i, in no way, contributed to the confusion; in fact, if you had received my emails, then this situation would have never materialized....quite simply, i would expect you to complete the contract...you bought the chairs...i have already submitted an invoice to you for the auction...my expectation is that you pay the invoice... sam howard, myoldtoy-eBay, not "my old day."

HER REPLY TO MY EMAIL CAME IN APPROX 3 HOURS LATER:
Dear Myoldtoy
I have purchased the following item on eBay from you. Please send me the total amount I owe you. Please excuse and ignore my previous emails. The person I want these chairs for is thrilled. I will send out a check immediately for the amount you state with S/H/I. Thanks so much. I am going to give you the address where the chairs are to be shipped to. Once I get the quote. I believe it is $699.00 plus $260.00 correct? Thanks, XXXXXXXX

i didnt mean to bore you with this lonnnnnnnnnnnng story...and i dont know if my email produced this result...so i contribute the result to my good luck ; every now and then we sellers deserve to win...have a nice a safe day...and thanks for your indulgence in reading this...sam
