They must have been trying to TEST something thru PayPal/eBay? Who knows why some people do what they do...

Ahhh...now I see, he's given himself 10 perfectly positive feedbacks! How convenient!!! No wonder they are private.

Does anyone besides myself have a funny feeling about these auctions? He just registered in October, his first 10 auctions were low dollar and all won by the same person. Then here comes a ton of high dollar items sold in a very short period of time. And hidden feedback to boot!

The Iwannasave family also left feedback for this seller who is now NARU with lots of negs.

Maybe he came back under the flyer ID?

I'm always suspicious about those sellers who have "Private" feedbacks. What are they trying to hide? The one and only time I have ever kept something private is when I had something that could have been considered rather sexual in nature and I wanted to keep the bidders user name private. But why would a seller keep his feedbacks private? That's what many of us judge our bidding on isn't it? Even if they were all positive feedbacks, I still like to see what other buyers have to say.

This is so blatant...READ THE AUCTION..
buried in the text is:
"This product includes the following parts: monitor, power cable, software and instructions.*this auction is for information only where to buy this product*.the Dell UltraSharp 2000FP utilizes a 20.1" (51 cm) Active Matrix TFT LCD that displays sharp and brilliant images of text and graphics with a maximum resolution up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. This display is optimal for Microsoft Windows"..

He then has in micro text at the end to the effect that you have read the auction...an asinine legalism..he supposes will cover his crime

I remember a couple years ago hearing about a guy auctioning PS2 systems using a print ad to show the piece and the text "Winner will recieve the exact item shown here"... and they did. They all recieved a well packaged mint condition copy of the print ad used in the auction....

Here are his stats on these bogus auctions:

23 of 24 auctions with sales..$9,985 in total volume, avgeraging $435 per sale..

He cloaks himself by insisting that payments be made through PPal for safety's sake when all he's doing is relying on PPal's policy of only intervening when goods are not delivered as described...I can't believe it!

He's been at this a week...A few more days and if he isn't kicked, I'm going to pitch everything and start the same scam with Ferrari's

Pandora - the one with the great scam was the guy who was claiming thathis supplier was behind on shipping and offered the customers that had not gotten their items fr weeks a $100 rebate plus their laptop (or a complete refund + $100) when they came in if they went ahead andleft him positive feedback in the meantime. His big mistake was going back to pack up his office when it all started to fall apart. Incestigators saw him entering with boxes for packing and decidd to arrest him on the spot. By our calculaation he has closed close to a million in auctions. I'm dying to know what was in that office that was worth going back for after that haul.

Well...its about time.

It seems you've got about 5 days of full-tilt larceny before Safe Harbor lumbers over to see what all the fuss is about..

This guy didn't even need 5 days. He scored all his hits between Nov. 4th and 6th. Wonder what i.d. he'll be using next week?

According to the post above, this looks to be at least his second incarnation....

You know, end of the day, you watch something like this and reflect on it and how you approach the market...all the carefulness, the mind-numbing discussions about FBack, postage and all...then this guy with his brazen, less-than-idiotic scheme and you begin to believe that a knife fight has erupted and you've shown up in a tu-tu and toe shoes..

Its very disheartening to see this scam artist succeed. It will probably scare away good potential buyers from legitmate sellers.

I don't think he got away with a thing did he? IF paypal holds his payments that is...seems like his auctions ended last night and $ can't be transferred to his account until next biz day ( Monday)..let's hope PayPal got wind of this too!

Yes this seller also said he was selling notebooks. The seller said he had 10 sales with the Iwannasave family. Obviously what is said and what happens is two different things.
Buy one and you'll probably find that his Paypal account was msyteriously not working or you'd probably receive an email from the "Ebay Safety Board telling you it's okay to send your $$$$ to this stellar member by Western Union since your Notebook was sitting in the Ebay Warehouse in San Jose waiting to be shipped".

Some people never get a grip on things.
