Hello!
I shipped a jacket to South Korea on Oct.6th.This jacket has not arrived as yet. I spoke to the post office and they told me that it is not unusual this time of year for packages to be delayed because of the Xmas shipping season. They told me the 4-6 days can be much longer! The lady did not take insurance nor did I insist on it.(my mistake}
She wants a refund on the jacket and shipping.What should I do? Refund now or wait maybe 60 days? I shipped another package to Germany that has not arrived either so I'm thinking it's probably just slow and not lost. Any suggestions?

Re-evaluate your decision to ship internationally?

SURFACE shipping to Pacific Rim countries can take 2-3 months -- which is why I no longer offer SURFACE shipping

Stopwhining, you are so right! I don't ship to Italy anymore - the last time I tried it I got the money about 2 months late and the package, which the buyer refused to insure, never showed up..Although it has only been about 18 months - there may still be a chance. Of course, the buyer negged me!

I just shipped to Italy two weeks ago with two different bidders and they have already received their package.

If you have proof of shipping then email her that proof and say sorry no refund....If you had to put a customs slip on then your post office has your copy of that customs slip and they don't get rid of them for about a month. Also your USPS receipt with the destination on it should be proof enough. Don't refund I wouldn't....

Surface Mail to the Pacific Rim is off my list too. The buyers are quick to want to pay for that low rate shipping but are also impatient when the item takes a long time to arrive. I've got burned by the Surface Mail option and now I refuse to use it.

The only item of mine that has gone missing in the last 18 months is one to South Korea. The buyer didn't want insurance, so I told him that I could not cover it if it was lost. He didn't ask me to refund his money, and gave no feedback. I ship to England and Europe all the time with no problem.
