This lady in New Jersey is a very occasional buyer, strictly a bottomfeeding penny bidder. She bought an anklet from me, broke it while wearing it, demanded a replacement, I said no.

Then she said the next item I sent her was the wrong necklace. Could be. She negged me. OK, fine. I'll still send her the right one when I find it but I didn't tell her that after the neg.

I blocked her from further bidding as on balance she is just more trouble than she is worth.

She's baaaaack, as if nothing had ever happened a few weeks ago. New ID. Wrote to say that she had a couple more things she was bidding on, and would it be OK if she waited to pay?

Amnesia? Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?

I don't get it. I am far from the only 1-cent no-reserve jewelry vendor.

Boy, I guess she doesn't get it. She didn't wonder why she was blocked from bidding under her other name???? I've sent the wrong thing out, but have yet to have someone neg me for it. Usually they wait to hear from me. I tell them I'll send the right one and that's that. Once I even mixed items up and sent a cheaper one to the wrong person. Thankfully, the receiver of the expensive piece was understanding and honest. I had to sweat that one out.

I've only had one person ever not acknowledge that I sent her the wrong (expensive) thing. I might be naive, because I was pretty disappointed in her for not admitting she got it. DC doesn't allow for many secrets.

But usually my experience is the same as yours; people try to help work it all out. Sometimes they offer to swap items directly.

Amnesia? Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?

Looks like I forgot the third option: "Stupid"

I just looked up the bidder list for her new ID and you are NOT going to believe this.

She shilled one of her own auctions.

Incredible.

And there's absolutely no doubt: the contact info is the same for both accounts.

I didn't even know she was a seller.

If it were me, I'd turn her sorry backside in for whatever I could. What an idiot! I guess she'll be the recipient of this week's Idiot Award.

fluffy,

from reading your last two threads I think someone has put a bad bidder curse on you, make a garlic necklace QUICK!
Life is only as good or bad as you make it.

Some bidders remind me of Edith Bunker from the TV show All In The Family. Sweet as can be but a little slow in thinking processes.

Dingbats.

All I can say is... I am glad you get them Fluffy... and share with us... so we can either... laugh...cry.. and most of the time be VERY thankful you have them and we don't...

Do feel sorry for you tho.. you get them everyday... where most of us get them 1 time a week or if lucky, 1 a month.

Fluffy does sell a lot of stuff whereas most posters here only sell a few items per day.

Fluffy, I have to say that I get a lot of great laughs from your amazing array of idiot buyers (and your delicious responses). It's almost as good as the nightmares ExecutiveGirl had (I still think her small wrist lady had to be the definitive eBayer from hell!). Maybe you and she could start a support group for sellers tormented by the multitude of morons out there who think they know how an auction works!

Not lurkyloo on eBay

Hey Fluffy, I think you hit the nail on the head. Some people want attention even negative attention -- and if they like it like that YOU ARE SURE the seller to give em their dose of it!! LOL!!! God Bless ya, Fluffy!

Oh, it gets better.

This morning, apparently after reading my "you shouldn't be bidding on my stuff with a new ID" email, she's made the new ID's feedback private.

Just what that is supposed to accomplish is anyone's guess. She had 1 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative. Could be she's afraid I'm going to neg her for the auction she won.

fluffy sells more per day than I do per month. As to sending the wrong item, I'm sure most of us have done it once. Last year I sold a group of "Janes Fighting Ships". I boxed them & swithed labels. You can see what happened. One went to Texas, & one to Ohio. By the time I got it all straighten out, I lost money on the sales, but no negs. I really felt stupid.
