First I get an email yesterday from a customer who wants to know if I will waive the S&H if they send me a SASE envelope.
I write back and explain, no. That I use a special envelope and a rigid plastic postcard holder to protect the card during transit.
Today I get an email (with my original invoice, her question on shipping, and my replay all attached at the bottom) with the following statement:
"OK, what is the total with shipping"
I start to tell her to read the email all the way down to the bottom but then think twice, copy the info and send it to her.
Then, a reply "what is your address?"
This time, I just copy the entire invoice copy and send it back. Now, I get a reply that they will send a check sometime this week.
Next: A guy pays with paypal for some lobby cards (measure 11" x 14" each) and adds this note: $6 is excessive shipping for sticking a couple of papers in an envelope and mailing them. I know you put the total shipping in your ad, and I could have passed on it, but I really wanted these. But, I want you to know how unhappy I am that you charge more for shipping papers than some sellers in Australia charge to ship an entire book! (guess that means a neg is on the way????)
I wrote back explaining I don't "stick a few papers in an envelope and mail them" that they are mailed in a priority envelope and shipping and insurance is $5.15 leaving the extra 85 cents as handling.
Last: Someone wrote me a week ago regarding an item that closed on 10/22. They said they would pay on Monday the 10th through Paypal. On Monday at 9AM I get the email "I have the money now in Paypal so how much do I owe you?". I send them another invoice and wait and wait, but no payment.
This morning I send a reminder and say I will have to relist if not paid in the next day or two since it has been almost 3 weeks now.
I get the Paypal payment with an extra $1.20 (for my trouble?) and a nasty note about my impatience.
Wow! That could be 3 negs in one day. I'm just waiting to see what happens with all of them.

Ditto for me. I somehow thought that emailing everyone their delivery confirmation number would save me time with future "where's my widget" emails. I still get them, and they're replying the email with the delivery confirmation in it. I got one last week from Alaska saying either I refund his money or he'll leave me a negative - even after I explained to him twice in the last 2 weeks that media rate shipping takes at least a month to reach Alaska.
2 more women threatening me last Saturday that "it better arrive soon - it's been a week" - I looked up the DC number and both times their widget was in their state already. I have plastered all over my auctions and in my WBN that media rate takes 1-2 weeks. Buyers want cheap shipping, but instant arrival (I ship 6 days a week).

ihula,
if they threaten negative feedback in an email, forward w/headers to Ebay.
The buyer can be kicked off!
If they leave a negative after a threat, it can be removed!

Thats what I hate about selling for Christmas. Everybody bids at the last minute and wants it as soon as they get it bid in.
