I KNOW this is off topic. I just can't focus on my ebay stuff as long as this is hanging over my head. I have a 4 year old red earred slider turtle (Michaelangelo of the famous 4 Ninja turtles) That I need to find a home for. I an NOT going to give him to the SPCA, or to a turtle rescue organization etc I want to find a real home for him. I have been trying with no results.

He was one of 4 that I rescued a few years ago from a lady who was going to flush them all down the toilet. (Now you know how he got his name!) Mikey is almost breading age. He is finding his tank mate quite attractive and getting agressive towards him. I need to keep him in a different tank now and don't have the room for one more tank.

Any ideas???

He see's me and wants to know what I'm doing with the camera

Here he is basking under his broadspectrum light. He looks like he wants to be a movie star!

Here he is outside in the baby pool surround by his food

These silly turtles are fun. They like to take walks outside in the garden. Actually they sit in my hands and we walk around. They stretch their necks out to see what is going on. When they are in their "pond" (the baby pool) they will follow you around They will even come when you call them. They were really agressive when I first got them. I got bit a few times. Not anymore. I can't believe how tame they are. During the winter time, I keep 'em indoors in the aquariums and let them out in a big plastic thing for snacks once in awhile. They all watch tv when it's on. (giggle) Some like my son's saturday morning tv shows and others like the night time stuff. Really cute.

Why do you have to let him go? I would take him as I have bearded dragons and an iguana. Raised them from babies.I don't know if he'd make it to OHIO.

Thanks runswithrotts for the thought. I just have too many tanks. I took them in because well, they would have died otherwise.

sanmar, you are BAAAAAD. I think the reason was because the tank was too small for the two turtles. I have him in a tank by himself now and is happy as a clam. I put two of the 3 remaining together. They seem to be doing ok and that leaves one morein the other one. they are all next to each other and go out in the pond all together with no problems at all. It's just that I have Too many tanks, too many turtles.
