What the H*ll is this? Yes, I did wake up on the wrong side of the bed today. Not in the mood for spoof. How do these crooks sleep at night?

Rule of Thumb:

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER click on a link that tells you you'll be taken to a place to enter information to verify your identity or account information!!!

Forward that e-mail to: [email protected]

Did I say "NEVER, NEVER, EVER?"

Trust me, it has been sent to Ebay. I guess what makes me so mad is that good honest people will fall for it. My friend's mother was so upset over a Pay Pal spoof. She was lucky because she called her son before she gave her information to the crooks.

What happened to making a good honest living?

Thanks for listening to me vent.

Miss J

As you can read and hear about all the eBay scams and stolen merchandise on eBay, one of which was mentioned on Milwaukees ABC channel last night, it's getting harder to make an eBay living because buyers are getting suspicious. I know I am. I was trying to find the article about the scam but can't find the original report. It takes in most of the states in the midwest, and they made lots of bucks before they were found out....

Both sex and fear sell. The press loves both angles ( ie:, Michael Jackson & Prince Charles for sex stories and ebay/internet scams for fear stories ). The downside of all the negative press coverage is buyers becoming fearful of buying on ebay and/or the internet.

Popnrock, you know, if you were traveling or log in from another computer, that might seem legitimate -- that is what is really scary.

I am totally paranoid about MS windows update now since I had that SWEN.A virus. I wont let my computer auto update it. Most others I kinda know are spoofs, but I musta been in dumb mode one day and opened that.

But people shouldn't have to live in fear to be on the internet and they need to do something about this. They license the software, why cant they stop it?

I think they really dont care. I cannot believe Microsoft and EBAY/Paypal cannot catch these 'creeps' and shut them down.
