Had to happen, someone gave me a neg tonight. I am actually okay with it, since I have had so many negs from half.com now, I think that has made me sort of immune. 3875 positives, 1 negative, guess I am 99.9% now!

You should still be at 100% and can probably absorb another negative or two or three before you dip to 99.9% .

Got my first neg last week too, after over 2000 transactions it's bound to happen at some point - but it still stings to see that red mark in your feedback.

Thanks! It actually doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I guess I am used to negs on my half.com account, people there are much worse than ebay (in my experience)
I am still at 100%, I guess they round up, so I guess I still keep 100% as long as I stay above 99.95% - Cool!

They round up so you can get one neg per thousand feedbacks and stay at 100% .

I got my first neg last year in December. A Lady bid on an auction, 1 day after the auction ended she left me neg feedback saying she never received her package...I checked my records and surprise, SURPRISE....she never made payment....and even if she had, a package wouldn't have made it to her in one day anyways! I emailed her and asked her to go thru eBay feedback removal process and she said she would.......never did! The neg still sits there. *Sigh* Needless to say she's on my block list now!

I have 3,580 positives, and got 2 negs early on, my feedback says 99.9%, so I take it that once you are below 100%, they will not put it back up to 100 even if you have a that many positives?

I have the same problem as Amber...
9700 positives and had 6 negatives for the longest time and always stayed at 99.9%. I just got my 7th from some prankster who gave me a negative for "being rude" less than 1 minute after buying the item. I'm trying to have that one removed.

Must be that new auctiondoofus math.
100% means perfect. One negative is not perfect. Dah.

I have actually seen some people with negatives end up with 100%. In many cases their negatives are more than 6 months old, and they're still in the upper "99.9%" overall feedback. In those cases I believe Ebay rounds up.
