Does anyone know anything about this old slide veiwer? Made by Yankee, Rex, takes 21/4" x 21/4" slides. Made of bakelite. Not sure if it is worth listing, I can't find any other on eBay or web sited.
Sorry about the pictures quality, my camera needs good natural light, and it's pouring with rain!

I would wait for Photosensitive to see this one and come running. This seems like the type of item they mentionned collecting in an earlier thread and could probably be a great help to you.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

BTW - when you list - use Transaprency as well as slide viewer. I've never actually seen a mounted 2 1/4 transparency - I have oddles of unmounted around here myself.

Here I am. I was over on the sniping thread. Both my husband and I used Rolleis for years and mounted and projected 2 1/4 transparencies. They were great for rear projection and projecting multiple images. 2 1/4 is still a standard for a lot professional cameras but I don't think many photographers mount them anymore. It is also unlikely that most cut their transparence strips into single frames.
It looks more like a "collectible" than a "usable" to me. It is nice to have the box that appears in good condition. I would pitch it as a neat retro object. You also might find someone who has family 2 1/4 mounted transparencies who may want to view them.
Be sure to make a point of the 2 1/4 size rather than the standard 2X2 so you don't get a bidder who is upset that it does not take 35mm transparencies.
Good luck with the listing. -----o----o----o----o----o----o----o----o

Thanks for the help everyone. I will certainly list it now. I did try and put a 35mm transparency in it, and it fell right in, took my husband ages to get it out!
