I had a thread here that my item was 'cursed'

Well I filed a NPB alert on the guy who flat out said he wasn't going to buy it. He didn't want me to file, he said that he had 2 other NPB's before. I did it anyway, after looking at his bidding activity... he couldn't pay me but is currently bidding items over the $100 mark, plus had 'won' 2 other items identical to mine (you usually only need one )

Well, I had my auctions all set, and put this item in ready to list, uploaded them last night, and tada, it got a bid, from a user registered last night, the email is the same ISP as the guy who stiffed me.

I'm not saying this proves its him, but it could be, sure is suspicious.

If that would happen to any of you, what would you do... was looking at some auctions, and they have a TOS that say NO (0) feedback bidders... now I believe we should let 0 fb bidders bid, they register everyday.

I don't know, I'm just too suspicious on this one.

end vent

You can/should cancel his bid and block his new ebay ID.

I know there is a way to check on what macine is being used. If you find out how to do this, you match up the fact that both emails, bid came from the same machine.

It's only one bidder on one auction. It's worth the risk of hurting an innocent newbie's feelings to cancel the bid. Otherwise you may be stuck with a major PITA.

Is the original NPB on your blocked bidder list?

If yes and the new bidder turns out to be him, you can get him NARU.

Using a second ID to bid on the auctions of seller who has blocked you is a Major no-no.

I would be tempted to let the auciton proceed just to see if it was him and then report him.

Otherwise, I would cancel the bid and add a 0 feedback disclaimer to this one auction.

Something along the lines of 0 feedback bidders welcome, but must first be pre-approved, etc.

You don't need a reason to block people. If it really bothers you then just cancel the newbie and block him.

just got back.... day after Thanksgivings a big day, its casino day.... ah I mean its The biggest shopping day

Anyway... Yeah! I can wait and see if its him, after the auction, if that is what ebay does, knowing I have a blocked bidder that gets a new ID to bid on the same thing..and yes I did block the original deadbeat, heh, worse than deadbeat, flat out told me, he didn't want it.

So, if it does turn out to be him, I'll get him naru'ed, but I might have already, his selling ID, I did file and NPB on him, and it IS his third.........

Thanks!

You can always pull the contact info on the newbie and see if any of it matches what was on the eoa that Ebay sent you for the NARU bidder. If any of it matches, report it to Ebay right away and get him NARU.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
