Has anyone used the eCount payment system? If so, how do you like it? Any problems with it? has it been reliable? How easy it is to use? How can you put money on it and get money out of it?

I'm surprised to hear that they're still in business. Most services (like paypal, payme, exchangepath, c2it) wait until they have an established base before they start pissing off the customers. Ecount did it from day one. They offered a $10 sign up fee. Then without notice, they changed the terms to "you get $10 that you can only use on a few select sites if you make a purchase of $30 or more." A number of sellers were advertising "get $10 off you first purchase if you pay with ecount" and got angry emails from their buyers when this didn't happen. I haven't found anybody who successfully got to use the $10. They continued to advertise "free" even after they were charging $1 to the buyer and another $1 to the seller. I haven't seen anyone accepting it and it comes as a surprise that they're still around.

I tried them around 18mos ago, & other than ExchangePath & cTHRUit, eClunk was the silliest system out there!
If I remember, they forced ya to get their debit card & then charged ya $1 each time you withdrew moola -- or some crazy scheme liketh that!

I use eCount and have been for over 2 years
I like it They charge the customer and not the seller for a transaction Not like paypal. I use the debit card which has the Mastercard logo to get my money also pay eBay with it. or anything else I want to buy nation wide anywhere you can use a mastercard. no problems. All the things yisgood has said about eCount I have not found to be true My advice to you would be try it you may like it. Don't cost nothing to try it. It does cost $6.95 for the debit card, All i can say is YEH ECOUNT

I looked at ecount's site and one thing confuses me. How do you sign up, where are their fee charts, where is their user agreement? Seems like that's something you'd want to be real obvious for you customers and either I'm overlooking something obvious or there's a problem.
tomwiii I dumped them in favor of StormPay -just kidding!
I'd never believe you dumped Stormpay! You've no idea how many customers I've had that are excited to use StormPay. The seller fees are very reasonable, comparable to PayPal, the difference is the buyer also pays a small fee, 15% + $1.25 (that's 15% not 1.5%.)
The beauty of Stormpay is any buyer stupid enough to use Stormpay will probably never notice if you don't ship their item.
